And in general: looking at the eps to come, in the pilot they talk sooooooooo slowly! Hmmm . . . producer Jay Daniel discussed this very thing on one of the commentaries . . . interesting

I've just finished re-watching the pilot (still waiting for my season 3 DVDs). I'd like to add two points to Diane's "firsts" list: 1st time Maddie presents David to someone as "my business associate" 1st "Com'ere" (the dance in the bar) 1st "I hate you" (but no double meaning there - yet) I think the analysis is completely done (and well done, I may add - over and over again ), so maybe I'll just add some fav quotes (I hope I don't repeat any already mentioned above). D: "These eyes are photographic. See something once, it's there locked in forever." M: "Really? I didn't notice anything locked in there." M: "Addison, why is he doing that?" (dying Mohawk swaying) D: "Gravity?" M (to the police): "I'm not his partner! I don't know this man. I don't like this man! I'd appreciate if you locked this man up!" D: "Now we're not gonna hold that against her, are we, Joe? Woman's been under a lot of stress. Look at that lower back, tense, tight - kinda nice though, huh?" M: "...it's nothing personal, I just hate you." D: "You know, I respect you so much for telling me that." M: "Great! Now beat it." M: "I'm just surprised you didn't try to take me to your place." D: "I think I'm insulted. Would you have gone for it? - Sure you would have!" M: "Explain that!" D: "'That'? It's an adjective." M: "Peoply fire you, and you make googly eyes at them. People try to fry your face, and you make jokes!" M (baffled): "Sounds suspiciously like a plan." D: "Me? Plan? Couldn't be. Everyone knows I've no facility for deductive reasoning. Hell, I can't even walk and chew gum at the same time, dumb David, always chompin' on his feet blowing bubbles with his shoes. Me, plan? Naw!" (How sweet BTW her apology with that teary look) M: "I'm totally lost." D: "Precisely, that's why we need a map!"

Hi guys - this is a really exciting ride. There's so much amazing analysis on here!
In 1985 - I was 12 and attending Horndean Community School, Hampshire. UK. Bruce Willis was my first crush! :-) My dad taped the first episode for me (thanks dad!) - saying that he thought it would be right up my street; boy was he right. I was hooked from the first episode. I taped them all and re-watched them all many times- encouraging my friends to watch too. Although some of them weren't allowed to stay up so late on a Tuesday night! Funnily enough it was my dad that bought be the full box set for my birthday this year (thanks again dad). I was such a fan from 12-16 - all my school days - in fact such a fan that myself and my best friend used to write our own episodes for that duration- early fan fiction! I found the folder of stories in storage at my mum's house a couple of weeks ago and was quite surprised at how dirty some of our jokes were lol. I also came across Moonlighting messages scrawled in some of our old exercise books - one of my favourites being: 'Hey Cathy, I'm really worried about what's going to happen to Maddie and David. You know he's stuck in prison and he manages to escape to make the phone call? And he leaves that cross message? Well what if she gets that message and and gets really upset with him? It'll all just get so messy' (It was in my History book - don't think we ever got much work done in that lesson). Clearly Moonlighting was much more important to us than who invented the first iron bridge :-). It also took me through my parents divorce and set me up with some pretty strong romantic ideals :-)
ps Diane - what's in one of those Martini drinks that Bruce bought you? And what kind of things did you chat about?

Hey I'm going to do a grand re-watch again from beginning to end and I'm sure that I'll come up with some fresh ideas. Anyone want to join? As if you need any excuses! Also thought it might open up discussions on all of these threads for the newbies. Watch this space... xxx

I remember I hadn't seen the pilot until it came out on video. I had begun to watch Moonlighting somewhere during season 1 but had missed the pilot! My friend and I were so excited. I remember we were going to Florida for the weekend to visit her cousin but not before we watched the pilot..both in our respective homes as we packed! I actually remember my mom ironing my clothes as we laughed while watching the show! Unfortunately, my moonlighting buddy past away last summer and only hope she is doing the limbo in heaven!

A grand re-watch? I am in! I am excited! Just let me know when you start rewatching! So I will gather the kids (I don't have any, so must borrow some :-) ), the dog (again borrow from someone), Grandma (umm...borrow? )... and will lock them in another room. And I will sit back and enjoy this very special re-watch of Moonlighting ;D Can't wait to do it with you, Nancy! *smiling happily* :-)

Rewatching sounds like fun, but a little tough.......it is always a rough time of year for me, but I have an exceptional amount on my plate right now. I will try to jump in when I can.

She's in for a shock seeing him with that gloriously thick head of hair. She'll be 'essed' by the time I'm done lol xxxxx SNAPPY
