Thanks for those posts of the script Diane -always appreciated. It is indeed a hard episode to suck back :-( I love his telephone messages to her - adorable! My how I wish I could have been a fly on the wall at those writers' meetings - discussing what stays and goes.

The best for me was the one about him cooking dinner for her! Would never have imagined that! Throws a different light on that "bad habit only in bed" thing, huh?

Agreed, jen. You know, you just can't hate David because he has just been through so much. Besides, I think his self loathing at that moment in the cold grey dawn may be punishment enough. Still, I think when he tosses the keys at Bert could be my #2 "I could almost hate him" moment. Number 1? Does "get out of my bed?" ring a bell with anyone....(sorry, it's a little off topic, but grrrrrrrrrrrr.)Grrrrrrrrr and double-grrrrrrrrrrr. That's the one I find very very hard to forgive! AMEN to that girls ! HATE that line too! #1 hate for me DIane Sorry for off topic: But in Script for WGC that line isn't in there! UGH

Thanks for the script info, Diane. I have always understood David's anger and frustration and I must say I always experience physical pain... literally... throughout this entire episode... along with a little nausea...and anger... and lots of grrrrs! But still I forgive him. Why? That's the million dollar question. He makes me want to hate him, too. Sigh..... but I don't!

My thoughts exactly - it sounds like they talked lots and spent really lovely occasions together- and every night too! I especially liked the sleeping with a pillow next to him because he missed her- awww so cute! Did she not think- darn it girl, just go back to him? when she listened to her messages?!

Ah yes the flashing neon signs were EVERYWHERE. He was in her mind, heart, soul, body . . . no matter how much she tried to escape him: movies, his messages, letter(s), et cetrahh, et cetrahh, et cetrahh

Ladies I know it would be great but we don't know it for sure, we never saw them eating together or him cooking for her... Although I want to believe that they did spend lovely days togerher and not only lovely evenings/nights. But don't you think that if that all were true - in this case Maddie wouldn't have left him? It is a very strange thing to do. What do you think?

Honestly, that was my thought too-- that the message was a reaction to her expressed lack of non-sex time with him in ATTTM. I do think they were spending personal time much as Maddie described, and this was David trying to correct that. Unfortunately, it was too late, and she was long gone before hearing it.

What, on the other hand, is not surprising in a newly discovered passion.

This is such a brilliant idea Hazel! How didn't I come to it myself? Of course, this message was his late try to correct the situation! Now it definitely does make sense. Thanks Hazel!

HATE that line too! #1 hate for me DIane Sorry for off topic: But in Script for WGC that line isn't in there! UGH Exactly right, Rose...it's not in the script...which makes it even worse for me......that somebody had to add that horrid line to make it even more venomous! Sure hope it wasn't an ad-lib.

Yes DIane ,so much worse! I know its another episode we are talking about here but there were evem more changes in wording from script to show, but maybe we should talk about this in another thread but yeah why would someone decide hey lets add this horrid thing for David to say to Maddie Yeah realy good writers! It showed they didnt care about the characters getting back together ever IMHO But also back with talk of the of the messages. So hmm maybe then they were from that same day she left. I wish they would have shown him make at least one of them that day as he waited in the office for her to show up. It would make more sense to us probably. I like to think maybe they had dinner and ok then it was bed but we know they didnt go out but i want to think It was more than the way Maddie put it , SIGH Well i know how it was in my head

That would be even more depressing than the line itself, if that's even possible.
