Well done Connie - this episode was a lot of fun and I felt worn out just reading it (ironic that I skipped the gym tonight to read VM!). I could just picture them in that garb (it would be 1990's aerobic gear right?)... it would have been much fun to see them investigating and working-out haha - quite a combo!
Also, I have to say - what an inspired way to create a naked chase scene involving David - brilliant. I was waiting for that towel to slip haha.
Great fun - enjoyed this a lot.
Keep up the good work ladies... xxx

Thanks Nancy! So glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Yes, 1990's workout gear was the bomb! I like to think Maddie could rock a pair of leggings!
Thanks for playing along!

So sorry.....I haven't taken the time to comment on this episode 'cause I keep reading and rereading it! I think I'm up to five times now.
It is really a fun episode.....love all the "fun" at the gym....and especially David's adventures in kickboxing. The case is a great one for them to work together for Maddie's first one back.
Also love the way you dealt with the trials and emotions of Maddie's return to work......and the sweet way that points out that new dads like our dear David also have that separation anxiety.
You've got a gift for ML humor and emotion, Miss Connie! Well done!

C-- You've given us real, vintage ML here...it was FUN and FINE! Loved the case...and the fact that it showed us another facet of Maddie and David's personalities. Those two..never ones to turn down a little competition! The kickboxing had me in stitches, and was just the kind of scene that might've been on the real show...as was David in a towel (yum yum). But my favorite part was the epilogue, which touched on issues past and present...and reaffirmed how far these two have come together. Sweet, spicy, and best of all, loving. Brava!

Sorry its taken me so long to give you a review on this...I have been a huge slacker this past week.
Anyway - This episode was WONDERFUL! So classic Moonlighting! As usual I can actually see this episode being done!
I loved how you tackled that first day back at work for Maddie. As a Mom I know where she was coming from. I think I cried the entire trip to work the first day I dropped of my baby, and made several calls that day as well! Its such a hard thing to do, and you captured that so well.
The case was great too! From the outfit Maddie was wearing (or almost wearing) to the chase scene with the towel was brillant! That so could have been a real Moonlighting crazy chase scene! You really made me laugh with some of the scenes at the gym as well. (The step aerobics class and kick boxing were sooooo funny!) And you even fit in DYB! I was LOL!!!
The commercials were great too! I didnt have a thigh master, but I did dance to the oldies with Richard Simmons. :-) The music choices were good too. (I now have Footloose in my head thank you very much!)
It was nice to see that Sunny is fitting in quite well too. The Epilogue was so great. Its so nice to see Maddie and David come home at the end of the day to a happy home...together. :-) That last line was so perfect..."you've done kickboxing before, right? That wasn't your first go, was it?"
Great great job as always Connie!!! LOVED IT!!!!

Oh, Diane...so great great! Brilliant job of bringing Sawyer back--you really recaptured his smarmy "little man" complex, while at the same time highlighted an undercurrent of real threat. So wish I could've seen that elevator scene on film... Also enjoyed the scene with Monica. So nice to hear Maddie verbalize where she and David are in their personal and professional lives...and you've set us up for some potential fireworks! And I choked on my dessert when I read this exchange: "David: So, I’ve got a delivery here for the most beautiful girl in the world. Maddie wrinkles her brow. Maddie: Well, thanks…although, I’m thinking the statute of limitations has just about run out on the “girl” thing. David: Not a chance…you are the promised breath of springtime. Maddie: You’re going to draw flies, Addison. What did you bring me?" Classic ML..."the promised breath of springtime"--I'm still laughing...

At long last, but well worth the wait - true words were never spoken! And boy did I love this episode! I absolutely agree with Jen - the idea to bring back Sawyer is very clever and absolutely brilliant. You managed to make his character so believable, so true to life! His manner of speaking, his gestures, even his new 'do - just perfect! And although I really don't like that man - I love the excitement and tension he brought with him. I mean Moonlighting without that wouldn't be Moonlighting, right? Still, if that bloody accountant does anything to our couple... *sharpening my axe here* Also I love the whole "Blue Moon Shampoo" idea! I can't wait to see our Blonde on the Red Carpet! And David... he is adorable again! The way he stands up for his Maddie, the way he cares for her and Ellie, his "I want you to lean on me, I want you to need me." is so genuine and so full of love! I wish I could see that scene on TV! And of course there are so many funny lines that make me smile, laugh and giggle ;D Maddie: You’re going to draw flies, Addison. What did you bring me?David: Besides me? Maddie: The package? David: Yes indeed. I am the whole package – handsome, charming, brilliant and discerning – as witnessed by my highly superior taste in women. and these: Maddie: David, she’s not a trained seal. David: Good thing…she’d be eating us out of fish and home. David: I’ll do my best. Maddie: Yeah…I can see it now. A two day Limbofest. David: It was a fun dinner, no? Maddie: Maybe it’s not a good idea to ask the clean-up committee that question.Ah and the joke! That made me laugh so hard! I knew it was not Maddie's fault back then! It was the joke! Hahaha Great job, Diane! I can't wait to read part 2! I just CAN'T!! Now Sawyer, you Slimball, you...I will count to 10 and you will bring Ellie back! Okaaaay?

As always Diane, Maddie and David's dialog is superb...especially the conversation in the office. These two have come a long way, but still as passionate as ever in where they stand about certain things. My favorite: David: Feels an awful lot like the old days. Are you sure that a live in boyfriend and a baby won’t tarnish the Blue Moon girl’s image? Might we embarrass you? Maddie: Don’t be ridiculous. It’s the 90s. People don’t think that way anymore. He mutters to himself. David: Maybe they should. Maddie: What did you say? David: I said, I wouldn’t debate that idea with your father…or for that matter, mine. Looking forward to part two....that scumbag Sawyer!!

Well, her we go...another great episode of Virtual Moonlighting! Sawyer...I tell ya, once a slimball, always a slimball huh? You did a great job bringing him into the current time in Virtual. It's nice to see even Sawyer can get 'essed... "Boss, you gotta quit quoting that movie. You’re sounding a little obsessed." Hahahaha...we all have our 'essed moments huh! So many great lines...heres a few of my favorites: "ohhhh, I'm a guest..." I can so see Davids facial expression while he is saying that. So funny! And the entire conversation with "Meaning that sometimes I am not quite sure that you care what I think, but somewhere in that noggin of yours, you do realize that it is the right thing to do to ask". I love that! She knows she needs to, wants to ask his opinion, but she just not quite there yet...but I know our Maddie - she'll get there. I love that David is patient with her with this. How about the "Small...blonde...crawls bowlegged, but your dont mind." ;D Hahaha...that just made me smile. Got to love our little Ellie. Love seeing the love David and Maddie have for their daughter. I will never tire of that. And the duck and pig joke makes yet another appearance! Hahaha...LOVE IT!!! Maddie just knew it just wasnt her! That darn joke! ;D I love how Maddie called Ellie "Addison"... "Maddie: Ok Addison, time to go. David looks at her hopefully. Maddie: Not you Addison… her Addison."....so cute. The entire Maddie/Sawyer conversation in the elevator was great! Sawyer better not mess with that Mama bear if he knows whats good for him. Maddie handled the situation great! Pure Maddie Hayes style! Its in her head that she knows she should call David afterward - it is such a big step for her. If only she just had done it! But, I understand her reasoning to why she hadnt. David put it just right when he said later in the episode "I would love it more if you acted like you know we are stronger together." I think she knows this...she just has to finally accept that she has someone to lean on. The interaction between Monica and Maddie was also wonderful. I bet Monica has some great Maddie stories. Maybe after David meets her he can talk Monica into telling a few Maddie stories after a kamakazi or two at the bar. ;D ;D ;D The alternate universe was so funny! David: "Are those words from an alternate universe? Me early, you late?" Classic Moonlighting line! Feeding babies are always fun too. "David: It was a fun dinner, no? Maddie: Maybe it’s not a good idea to ask the clean-up committee that question." A particular memory comes back to me feed my son his first helping of pasta...so funny, but the clean up was NOT pretty! I also love how well David knows our girl ..."So if everythings great, why have you got that wrinkle?" Yep...he knows her...like the back of his hand. I think my all time favorite funny line was: "David: Ewwwww….you licked him? Maddie: Addison… David: Just watching out for where you put your tongue."That was soooooo funny...I can so hear that interaction! I really laughted at that one! ;D ;D ;D And last but not least was the line from Smitty ..."this is exactly the way I would handle it if it were my wife that had been threatened....errr...you know what I mean".....ahhhh...you think Smitty got a couple looks from that one??? Now the cliff hanger....and we wait. I CAN'T WAIT! But, I will. Great great job as always Diane!!! Now go get to work on part 2! I'm dying here! That Sawyer sleezeball better get whats coming to him. I hope David makes him eat dirt...makes him eat worms. Someone go get David some dirt and worms ok???

What an embarassment of riches.
I started my morning reading all of your wonderful comments....and I am pretty sure that even surly teenagers lusting for summer vacation will not be able to spoil my "walking on sunshine" mood today.
Again, I would just like to say that being able to write Maddie and David is so special to me, and the fact that you all read, and express your kind thoughts is almost too much for me to comprehend. We have the most extraordinary readers!
Thanks for the pure motivation for part 2....coming soon!
