As some of you may know, I'm a filmschool student. This week we started to learn how to write a script and now we have to make a short drama film (of 4 minutes ) The group I was in decided to (read: I kinda forced them, because I always wanted to) do something that happened in an office. We have 3 man in an office who all fancy their gorgeous boss lady ;D I'm writing the lead character, which begins to look like our David Addison A LOT! ;D Don't know why, but everytime I think of someone in an office who likes to impress his boss I have to think of him.
We are doing everything different from what has been taught. The director who was teaching us said that a voice-over couldn't be used because it would reveal too much of the story, but I thought "wait a minute, that IS possible without spoiling the movie, I've seen it done!" and so thought the others in my group, so now we are going to make a short film, with a lot of voice-over and a guy that looks a lot like David Addison!! haha!! I'm writing the voice-over!!! It's getting really cool so far! I LOVE TO WRITE THIS PART!! Just wanted to share this with you.
Do others have this as well. I mean, do you sometimes have to do something that reminds you so much of Moonlighting that you can't think of anything else? Or am I just weird?

Interesting question but just for clarity, would you mean things we've had to do or to work on that brought to mind characteristics of people on the show, or actual incidents from life that turned out to be like plot points? ;D
Yes Stephanie, many things that I was going through kinda resembled the Moonlighting show and that was in the past when I had a similar crash on a Maddie Hayes type of woman. That relationship lasted a couple of years and it was edgy and everyday more and more interesting and intriguing.
There were misunderstandings, there were rivals, there were slamming doors, and so forth. It did not follow up to the two of us being together but I still remember it fondly and I admit with some sad nostalgia creeping in my heart sometimes. Just like David thinks of Maddie when he is talking to his bro Richard in the episode "It's A Wonderful Job"
I work in an office, and my boss is a woman, but she's is no way similar to Maddie physically, though she gets mad very often, and she's always slamming doors. Makes me think of ML every time she does that. I just wish a Mr. Addison worked here too. ;D
