Hello ;D I'm ploughing on, its exciting that we should get to watch a christmas episode in a couple of weeks time, so I'm going to plan to continue! This was such an interesting episode. I don't think I really noticed quite how vain Maddie could be before! This is really about "a blonde and her vanity". Its apparent that she is used to people saying how beautiful she is and used to being a subject of love. I was still surprised that when David was asking her what the painting she had bought was of, she said "a pretty thing". There is so much more to Maddie Hayes, but this shows a rather vain side to her. She was really quite disappointed that the man didn't kill himself over her! Such a funny episode nevertheless, I especially enjoyed the line about her buying Elvis memorabilia... Oh and the little kiss she does at the end - just so sweet!

Mul Maddie really does seem vain in this one doesn't she? "A blonde and her vanity" takes on a double meaning here lol. The way she acts here is very different than in The Woman in the Iron Mask when she's talking about the guy who "claimed he loved me but didn't even know me." Of course that guy broke into her place. So I guess that is different That whole scene where she sees her portrait in the gallery and is staring at it at night with candles is always kinda creepy. Makes me think of a Hitchcock movie. David cracks me up in this one. Course he is usually funny. "A woman I never met had sex with a basketball team last night." "The Helen Keller look.." "I want to know why my colleague is being held and why it isn't by me?" "You slither great." Love how he watches Maddie slither ;D "I was just thinking about us poor slobs who live for you." What a sweet line.
