I love all those scenes. I liked her also in Twas the Episode Before Christmas, sweet moment between her and Maddie with the baby under the christmas tree. Also love what David says about her in this one: 'Did you see the look in ole Miss Dipesto's eyes? They were both pointing in the same direction for once.' That line cracks me up everytime. Also like the conversation between her and Maddie in I think it was Eek a Spouse when she confronts Maddie about marrying Walter. She kinda speaks for the audience in this one as well telling Maddie how disappointed we all are and how we never thought she would marry anyone other than Mr. Addison.

Yes, that's a funny David line. I also liked it when he asks her if she's screwed her curlers in too tight. I think that was in Symphony in Knocked Flat.

One of my favorite DiPesto scenes is from "I'm Curious...Maddie". Her last scene with Maddie where she wants to go to the bar to get, "you know, bombed, pickled, polluted." She sits there and drinks 3 Kamakazie's in 5 minutes and proceeds to drive Maddie to distraction with her anecdotes about Mr. Addison. Funny stuff!! ;D ~blue moon girl"Like Mr. Addison says, "You can lead a horse to water, but that doesn't make him a duck."

Got another one...just rewatched the Pilot and Gunfight. In Gunfight where Agnes shows Maddie to her office for the first time - she seems so nervous - in awe of Maddie. She starts rambling about when Mr. Sandwich comes by, the lady that comes to the office and does your hair. But really made me laugh was when she pauses and says "Oh Oh" ( like this is the most important thing in their day) "There's a gym downstairs and a lot of take a class everyday." Just the way she stops and goes "Oh Oh" just cracks me up. She's so nervous, and doesn't realize she what she's doing. *g*
~blue moon girl pardon me for rambling - I've been working weird hours the last couple of days

I just watched another of my favourite scenes in Money Talks Maddie Walks. When Miss Dipesto is talking to David in his office and he's saying that we're born alone and we die alone and Miss Dipesto says 'apart from your mother - lots of times when people are born, the mother is there'. That's too funny!! Love Gem Gem that line cracks me up everytime. Def. one of her funniest lines.

"All the boy detectives do it..." (Blonde on Blonde, I think, but could be wrong) Watching her live it up is great.
and
her whole outburst to David in "Brother, Can You Spare a Blonde."
"You think that because you make more money than me...?!?" Very poignant, and an insight into her character that makes her more dimensional than just the comic foil aspect. It's good to show people as complex and different, makes them real. A sign of truly good writing.

I love all those scenes. I liked her also in Twas the Episode Before Christmas, sweet moment between her and Maddie with the baby under the christmas tree.. Yeah I agree, I love when Agnes says to Maddie: "There's nobody I'd rather have children with than you" and Maddie's facial expression cracks me up! Very sweet episode definitely.

Also just watched North by North DiPesto which I reeally quite like even though it isn't enough of D&M, but I love Agnes' reaction to the guy dying at the bowling alley:
"Death after the first date does not do a lot for your self-confidence".
She is able to have this humour and innocence at the same time which is great.
(Also, this is quite random, does Doug remind anyone else of a cross between MacGillicuddy and Walter? Maybe this is just me!)

(Title escapes me, but I'm pretty sure it's a conversation between her and David--) Agnes: "Are you and Mom having a fight?" David: "Uh-huh." Agnes: "Is she going to leave us?" David: "I hope not..." Very sweet--and another sign of how Agnes saw how close they really were, long before either one of them ever wanted to admit it.

Really cute. Though I think Agnes says to David 'are you going to leave?' and then you hear Maddie say 'I hope not' and then we see her stood at the door. Love Gem

"You deDaved him."
