Ok, so I'm slightly excited as my DVDs have arrived 2 weeks early (thank you amazon) and as it is the weekend i am going to have a Moonlighting marathon type thing! Also, unlike you guys I have never seen Seasons 1 or 2 so this is going to be so much fun!! And I'll let you know what I think of it all too, as I guess by seeing Seasons 4 & 5 first I might be doing this the wrong way round.....hell, I don't care!! It's all brilliant! ;D ;D ;D

When did you order yours? Mine arrived last Friday (I live in Auckland) and I have been having fun watching them. I am in the midddle of exams, though, so have not watched them all yet. I don't want to get to the end of them because it will seem too long until the release of the rest of the series. Mine play well on my DVD player which is a budget video and DVD combo. I can also watch them on my computer.

I ordered mine on the 6th june - they were estimated to arrive 28th June - 8th July. I'm in Auckland too, have just checked that they work on my DVD player - is looking good! I know what you mean about not wanting to watch them all though, I really want to watch them all in one go but want to make them all last too...oooh the dilemmas!! I have got some of Season 4 and Season 5 on video (from when they were shown in NZ last year) but DEF. want Season 3 asap!!

How delightful to hear everyone's excitement when the DVD's arrive. Do you find yourself starting with the first disc and watching in order, or jumping to favorite episodes to watch first, or watching the special features first?
Is there any one thing in particular that jumps out at you the first time you see the DVD's?

I think I watched one of the special features first, then I watched the episodes with the commentaries, then I watched the rest of the special features. And then I started at the beginning and watched all the episodes in order. I was so excited, I couldn't watch everything quick enough!
I really loved the packaging, and the menus and general presentation. They did a really great job with that.

;D Oh wow, what can I say? Have had the DVDs approximately 4 days and have managed to watch all the episodes already!! OK so it helped that its rained so I haven't been able to work, but what a cool way to pass the time!! I have too much to say about it all in one message so I'll have to go through each episode on different posts. First impressions though, I LOVE IT ALL!! Haven't even watched the extras yet, and I think it is only fair to watch all the episodes a number of times before I try to sound like an expert in my analysis of each one! Oh, any excuse to keep watching...

Hi, I hadn't seen seasons 1 and 2 either, I had the DVDs ordered since March and have had them for a week now. Because I hadn't seen any of the episodes I watched them all in chronological order. I am also in the middle of exams so shouldn't be watching them, but I couldn't help myself. My favourite would have to be the next murder you hear.

oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that Marc! How irritating! Maybe if you sound irritated enough they will send them special deliver or something? I know I'd be irritated if that happened to me!

Marc I'm really sorry too about your disks, how annoying? After watching everything once so far (except a couple more commentaries to go) my favourites so far are The Next Murder You Hear (David being jealous!), Money Talks-Maddie Walks, Dream Sequence, Knowing Her (Maddie being jealous!) and Witness for the Execution (obvious reasons). In fact, the only one I haven't liked so far is Somewhere Under The Rainbow and I think that is purely down to the attempt of an Irish accent that sounded more Jamaican to me!! Of course, I need to watch again and again before I probably find my real favourite, so I'd better get going then...!

Oh my goodness, that Irish accent is just tragic, isn't it?! I honestly have trouble understanding what she says sometimes! How could nobody have realised that's not at all how an Irish accent sounds like!? Apart from that, I quite like that episode, if only for the fact that it's absurd. And it's sweet that Maddie finally finds a friend! You have some great choices for favourites!

Oh no Marc, I hope you get it sorted out...
I'm still waiting for my DVDs to arrive, they said 7 days airmail, but it feels more like 7 weeks since I ordered them!
I haven't watched 'Somewhere under the rainbow' for ages just because I can't cope with that 'oirish' accent. It just puts me off... I think you've hit the nail on the head tho Babyhayes, the accent drifts into Jamaican at times, it never sounds Irish tho!

Glad its not just me that can't be doing with the accent then, it is quite funny at times I have to admit because I'm sure I could do a better job, they should've given ME the part...!
