Okay, I missed a bit on the commentary, and honestly haven't had a moment to sit down and re-watch it, so maybe someone here can help me out:
When Cybill is upset, is she crying about her dad or about the death of Robert Webber?
On another note, I think that it was interesting that Cybill played Maddie as the betrayed daughter so well, and yet didn't know she had lived that role herself (if that makes sense). It must have been weird going back and watching that episode after she learned the truth.

I think she is upset about her father. I liked the commentary to this one. Glenn was funny when he said that he could see the dvd's flying off the shelf whe Cybill said something, but I can't remember what it was she said!

Yeah Cybill was upset because she realised that the whole story mirrored what happened to her in real life 15 years later with her own father, who died a few years ago ( I think).
I liked this commentary too - Gem are you thinking of the restaurant scene where Cybill comments that she isn't wearing a bra? Or the bit where she declares Yul Brynner (apologies if spelt incorrectly) was her first sexual fantasy?! Glenn comments that he can see the DVDs flying off the shelf! Good commentary though, I like it when Glenn introduces Cybill as shy and retiring and later on Cybill demands of Glenn "why aren't you hiring me?"!

I'm still working my way thru the DVDs, but I watched this ep followed by the commentary yesterday and thought it was a wonderful commentary - Cybill seemed really emotional at times, and I loved the fact that she and Glenn Caron were building bridges after all the stress they made when on ML.
I also thought it was sweet when Cybill said that she had some pictures of Bruce with his father on the set and she wanted to give them to him...

I'm pretty sure he makes the comment twice, so it's quite possibly of both of those comments. Really funny. They were both funny and it's good to see them getting along. So good I'm going to watch it again. Love Gem

I really liked this commentary, Cybill and Glenn are so open and true about themselves and their believes. It was also funny, especially the parts about Cybill not wearing a bra, how Bruce and she looked back then, the whole 80s dress-code (Cybill: Look at those shoulder-pads. Glenn: Every day was superball).
I really felt for Cybill about how much this episode meant to her, especially after her father's death and unfaithfulness. It really needs a lot of courage just to think about these life revelations and publicly describe them - Glenn was not the only one to hear this confession - is even harder. A truly admirable moment for Cybill.
I just hope that she and Glenn and Bruce work some day again.
