1985?

As I mentioned in another thread, I have been doing my beginning-to-end ML marathon. This weekend I was watching WFTE all the way through the credits and noticed something that I thought was strange. You know at the end of the credits when the year is listed? Well, this episode had 1985. I never noticed this before. Why is it not 1986? I swear I replayed that screen no less than 5 times to keep checking it out thinking that my eyesight was going (too much ML!). I am puzzled. Is it a mistake? Or then I was wondering if it was only MY dvd. Curious...

That is strange. It should be 86 shouldn't it?? Guess I'm gonna have to watch this one again

Yup, 1985 it is. That's quite odd since it aired in March 1986. I doubt they would have kept an episode in the can that long (a la In N Outlaws) considering they usually rushed until the last minute to finish before airtime, however it does create an interesting question.

Now we'll have to go back and compare the show against those immediately before and after and see if it "fits".

I think this is particularly interesting given the kiss in the garage scene. Could this have been filmed before the end of the year, but Glenn et al. decided to hold onto it? Maybe they needed to tease us a little longer? So many possibilities. It's times like this when I wish we could talk to Glenn or Jay Daniel to find out what happened.

That is weird but i'm thinking maybe it was just a production mistake maybe. But i dont know for sure.
