Hi Everyone! I haven't been around much lately. *waves* Hope everyone is doing well. I've taken on the task of dumping over my personal video collection to DVD. Not an easy task. And I finally got to some ML stuff. This is my the first video I ever edited back in 1987. I wasn't in film school yet, and only had a couple vcrs, a record player, and a bunch of cables. But, by gosh, I was determined. This was done the summer of 1987 after the Big Bang. The song is As We Lay. The lyrics don't perfectly fit the situation, but at the time I thought it worked. Please excuse the purple squiggly lines - vcrs used to do that. Anyways...hope you all enjoy it. It's not a quick cut video. But the mood is there all the same. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cV-mQDgkRAgP.S. I just posted the video. So if you don't see it right away, try again later.

It definately was. I'm sure there are a lot of people here who remember the 80's style vcrs with the counter display - not an actual time display. And they slipped by several seconds, and didn't start right away. When we finally got a vcr I ran that thing ragged. I got it down to a recording science. It was as close to perfect as I could it. I couldn't have a frame of a commercial. Yes, I was a 'geek'. Still am, but that's what drove me to film school. It's quite easy to edit now with computers. I can't even imagine what I would have done if I had that technology back then. Boggles the mind.... I love to see other people videos. Their style, ideas and techiques. Everyone's perspective is unique. Is there anyone else that's edited ML videos like I did back in the day? I'd love to see them.
