Ok, so I had to cheat slightly here as I needed to watch this a 2nd time before actually being able to form a cohesive sentence. Not sure why but was not at all concentrating on the plot the first time round so I had NO idea what was going on and I was mainly taken completely by surprise by the introduction of Bert.
For some reason I always thought of Bert as coming into the show as a real try-hard, very smartly dressed, very diligent and eager to please. Instead it's more like seeing Columbo's younger brother in appearance and in personality he is very quiet and reserved. Hilarious that Agnes chases him the way she does - I REALLY did not imagine that to be the way it went. I always pictured Bert trying to be a smooth-talking confident guy and Agnes being the one who is shy and slightly intimidated. Think it is great that it is not that way round though!
"Mr Hayes, Miss Addison?" LMAO!!
When Bert hides under Maddie's desk I thought it was a nice touch the way she tried to talk to him and find out what was going on. Not the last time that Bert goes under Maddie's desk too!
So, the plot. I thought it was fine, perfectly enjoyable once I had a clue who everyone was and who the hell was writing to who. "My wife is cheating on me, with me" sums it up very nicely. Like the final chase scene too, I always like silly bits. However this episode at the moment is planted in my brain as The One Where Agnes Chases Bert.

It also makes me laugh in this episode that day after day Maddie and David appear early to sit in the Post Office waiting for the guy to come along. But why sit on the floor?! It's really conspicuous, probably uncomfortable and not hugely professional and well....it just looks odd to me!

...They're tired? Or they don't want to get tired, since they can figure they may have to wait a long time?

I had never seen the "you're doing me"-scene until today (really don't understand why), and my first impression is: hilarious! There is nothing on this planet those people can't make fun of!
I don't get why they're sitting on the floor either, btw. It does not look comfortable to sit like that for several hours a day, especially not if they might have to do it for a long time. How about a bean bag or something? ;D
