On a scale from 1-10, what do you give "The Straight Poop"?

I gave it a 9 b/c I have really intense memories of this episode. When ML was first aired in Germany I missed the first 2 seasons b/c we didnĀ“t even have cable TV on that time yet. One of the first episodes I saw was this one and I just thought "Gosh I have to watch the whole series this is great". Lucky me the Austrian channel started showing ML so I could watch the episodes I had missed a few weeks later thanks to cable TV.

I don't like it at all. I think they don't have ideas any more about the plot. In last few episodes there are no cases at all.

I'm going to give this episode an 8.5. Now at the time I saw it in the 80's I would have given it a 2 probably, because I was so fed up then with the reruns only to be fed a clip show. Grrrr! But upon rewatching years later on DVD where reruns are a non-issue, I realize that this episode is genius. It is a really great send-up of the craziness that surrounded the show at the time and a fun walk down memory lane. And the bloopers rock! I might have given it a 9 or even 10 upon rewatching, but I still remember that they had the audacity to fulfill their new episode promise with a Bert and Agnes episode, so it can never get a 9 or 10 for me no matter how many years go by!

A nice bloopers episode seen on the DVD, out of the whole re-run process.
7.

I gave an 8. "Only" a clip episode, but the more cleverly done, I think. The bloopers are great, and, of course, the make-up-kiss does the trick.

I'm gonna give it a 10, mostly because of the bloopers.
Love Cybill's hair in this episode!

One of the nice things about being too young to have watched Moonlighting during its original broadcast run is that the frustration that came with being a fan at that time and place is merely something I read about. Here though I get an inside peek at the scrambling to keep this beast of a show afloat, moving onward in the face of insanity while keeping the fans from completely revolting in the process. Only this show would manage to make lemonade out of this kind of lemons with such inventive, stylish results. Not only is it a fun substitute for a fresh episode but it's a watchable CLIP SHOW. They managed to make a clip show clever and worth our time. Too bad that we all know the unfortunate turmoil that gave way to such drastic measures. Kind of spoils the fun.
