Unless my ears deceive me, Cybill screeches this as she realises that David is in her bed, not Sam. There is a normal squeal, followed by "Bruuce!" so I was just wondering if anyone knows what went on?! Or is it just another thing for us to analyse, scrutinize, fantasize etc etc etc, or contemplate, speculate and those other 'ate' words!

Your ears deceive you. That's just wishful thinking. I've seen and listened to that part many times myself, and it sounds to me like she just says "Grrrrghrrrrrgh!" -a generic sound. Some people are just way too eager to read other things into it. It's an urban legend, nothing more, nothing less. They want her to have said something else, so that's what they hear. How likely is it that they would have allowed something like that in the final version? Why? What would be the point? There are also people who think that when you play certain songs backwards, you can hear messages from the devil. Come on.

I had to watch it, had no idea what you meant. Now I definitely see where you´re coming from, babyhayes! (I meant where your comment is coming from, but, you might have been concieved in this ep too) She probably didn´t mean to, but it might have happened. She just screamed any word/sound she was used to scream anyway.. I say we keep on fantasizing.

Yeah, the more I listen the more it sounds like "Bruuce" to me and other people have said the same. But the whole fun of this is to wonder and imagine and fantasize........

I did think it would be highly unlikely that the editors would leave in a 'line'?! like that. BUT I've just rewatched IACM and I have to say that if it is not Bruuuuce that Cybill says it's an incredible facsimile. Maybe it was a Freudian slip, a genuine blooper (we know that these episodes were being worked on in a hurry) or maybe an Easter Egg for ML nuts to find. I'm undecided but am willing to hypothesize, theorise etc.

I`m in the camp that says yes! she does say Bruuucce at that moment. I have watch & listened and watched and listened over and over again, it`s there alright. I`ve also watched the footage in slow motion too and if you look ever so closely just before it cuts to Maddie turning the lights on i`m positive you can see Bruce smile or smirk!. But hey don`t take my word for it , go look for yourselves

I have to agree with this one: It is a long, two-part squeal, like "uh-uh-huh...errrrgh!" Wow, that is a hard sound to emulate phonetically.

Yeah, bees, my "uh-uh-huh" is your "aahhh" broken into syllables . I tell ya, I was reading your response at work today and could not stop snickering. This is the type of detail my best friend Liz and I would pull from an episode and dial up about 10 notches to make it funny--or funn ier than it already was. Remember Sam's goodbye note to Maddie, which prompted David to comment on his poor spelling? Liz and I wrote our own Sam notes with enough misspellings to make it seem like a 5 year old wrote it.

AddisonHayes: Just to make sure, we aren't making fun of you or your post. Friends? The same was on my mind, Addison Hayes! We were having--not making--fun! Witness: Bet those Sam notes were fun to write! ;D Absolutely, positively! We were our own little Mad Magazine. Believe it or not, I might still have the notes in my keepsake box.
