I disagree that they did it the first time in the bed. From the way David will not let go of her and knocks over the glass table etc. I think he was afraid if he let her go she would change her mind. I think they did it hot and feverish on the living room floor...then made their way upstairs. Just my opinion...

Could be as well... ah, those two are endless food for our imagination, ain't they? I'd have loved that too! They surely were both not ready to wait!

At the point when David catches slap #3, Maddie moves into him, so if anything he was holding her that way because he had dreamt about it for so long, not because she would change her mind. She was "caught up in the moment." I find it hard to believe that David would just cast the "I love you" aside until after the first to-do. Starting with the trunk kiss, he searched for the green light before moving in. He did the same during the pre-coital activity. Not only was David in shock that it was actually happening, he kept searching Maddie's face to make sure they were of the same mind re: what they were about to experience together, that she wanted it just as much as he did. We have to remember that David is a romantic, and in spite of the raucous events downstairs, I believe he was ever mindful of making this a special, wonderful (and yes, very pleasurable, I might add) night for them.

Oh I love this, witness, and I totally agree (speaking of mediocre minds...)! David was anxious for Maddie to be 100% with him. And, from what we see, she was.

So... these are the things that I think about when I have a bout of insomnia...
Maddie goes home in "Maddie's Turn" and gets down and dirty with Sam. Then, she goes out in the middle of the night and has milk truck racing good times with David. Then there is the "barrage in the garage" the following afternoon, she ditches Sam the Sham and then comes home to find David crashed out in her bed. I think it is a fairly safe assumption that those sheets were not washed, dried, fluffed, folded and put back on her bed between the time Sam and Maddie slept on them and the time David and Maddie slept on them. EEEEWWWW! Just sayin'...

Maud, I laughed my head off when I read the results of your insomnia. That thought has occurred to me too! However, the legs of David's shorts were doing their own thing in that bedroom scene, so maybe a "breeze blew up" as the line goes and blew not only Sam's note into his lap but the sheets into the washer, the dryer and back onto the bed!! LOL!

Yes, Sarah, I agree. It must have been the breeze from the open French door in Maddie's bedroom that played laundry fairy! I'm going to go with that too...

Oh ladies, thanks for the reminder.....how many times did I rewind this episode to watch the repositioning of the shorts........remind me of the pilot......."And yes, I AM looking up your shorts."

I am laughing my head off right now!! Maud, I have to say I never thought of that. That is so gross lol. I choose to believe Maddie is a neat freak and sometime between the two rushed home and changed the sheets. Or Sarah's theory. And Diane, I have to admit I did the same thing LOL!
