So what's everyone been watching?
I just watched Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. I love Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy (as some of you know!) and this was their last film together before he died. When he makes his speech at the end, I'm blubbing like a fool. Spencer died shortly after they finished filming. They were both nominated for Oscars, and when Katharine was told that she had won hers she asked if Spencer had won as well. When she was told that he hadn't she said 'oh well, I'm sure this one was meant for both of us'.
Of recent films, I just saw Harry Potter and Narnia. Loved them both. The Harry Potter's are just getting darker and darker with each one and I love it. Miranda Richardson was great as Rita Skeeter! Haven't read the latest book yet, but one of my kids in school blabbed the ending to me the other day!! Kids!

I don't get out to the theater much. I mostly watch stuff at home. Here's what's been in the ol' player of late: Style WarsMade in Sheffield: The Birth of Electronic PopThe Work of Director Anton CorbijnThe Italian Job (the remake) Some Japanese anime, including Fake and The Five Star Stories, among others And a bunch of t.v. show collections. My cable company dropped the classic movie channel some time ago. Does that ever tick me off.

hmmmm *has to think for a moment* I'm in filmschool but don't have a lot of time to watch movies LOL Last films I watched: A short film, produced by one of my teachers. About two English guys who try to break into somekind of place during the fireworks of November 5th. They somehow get trapped in an elevator. Really cool ;D Harry Potter. They did a very good job, it looked exactly like I had in my head while reading the story. Gem, you're right, it is getting darker. J.K.Rowling is writing it "with" the readers. The readers who started reading the books when the first one got released get older, so the books get scaryer hmm, I've also seen The Corpse Bride, which is an animated movie made with Stop Motion. It's really well done. It's like the sceletons (made of foam ??) really move!! Plus, they have used beautiful piano music in it. Can't remember another movie I've actually seen. OH Save the Last Dance, which was great. And Shall we Dance, gotta love Richard Gere and Susan Surandon. Oh and that Tango was HOT! haha Richard Gere sure can dance ;D

I haven´t been to the movies for several months now although I really love going there. The last DVD I rented was "LA Crash" which was a really good movie and I bought "Mo´better blues" with Denzel Washington b/c I really think he is one of the best actors we have besides Robert de Niro.

I have recently seen: Harry Potter - excellent!! Good Lord Voldemort too (oh stop gasping everyone!) Legend of Zorro - ok if you just want something light-hearted Narnia - actually a bit disappointed, but can't put my finger on why. Possibly a little more childish than I'd expected but then again it is a children's book. Hmmm. Fun With Dick And Jane - well I actually did have fun although reviews haven't been great. Another one to watch if you just want light-hearted fun.
Also watched Red Dragon again recently which I LOVE.

I re-watched a very entertaining and clever movie, I believe it is called Bandits. It´s with Bruce, with long hair, and the ending is just so smart that it surprises me everytime I see it. And I don´t consider myself to be stupid. My favourite movie is Moulin Rouge, mainly because it has a lot of love and music.

De Lovely - Kevin Kline portrays the life of Cole Porter and Ashley Judd plays his wife, Linda. It's a wonderful film with some famous singers like Sheryl Crow, Robbie Williams, Natalie Cole, Alanis Morissette, Diana Krall and Elvis Costello singing in cameo parts. Oh, it's a musical. Excellent soundtrack.

Well, I went to the International Film Festival in Rotterdam yesterday. I saw 3 movies!
The first one was a Japanese movie called 'The Drive'. I had to get used to the subtitles which weren't even good English. And the movie was a bit slow, it was about a man who needed money to pay his bill, and a woman who was going to help him with that (yeah right, by killing 2 schoolgirls) I was so annoyed by that woman who only wanted the guy in her bed (the guy was married and I felt so sorry for the wife) Didn't like it...
The second movie was with Jeff Bridges. It's called 'Tideland'. I thought YES! Jeff Bridges! only he died when we where only 10 minutes into the film. Don't worry, you still see him....rotting away (BLEH). The story is about a girl who lives in somekind of fantasy world with talking barbie heads and animals. Not really my kind of story...
The third one was a Russian movie called 'Dead Man's Bluff'. A lot of blood and shouting (in Russian and I couldn't read the subtitles). It was supposed to be funny, but it only got funny when one of the "good guys"(sarcastic) was shot. There was no story in it. Three of my classmates fell asleep during it and a lot of people walked out. You could vote for it (1<5) and I voted 1 when one of the "good guys" (again sarcastic) started to discriminate people (which was supposed to be some kind of joke).
pfff, now I want to watch a good movie!

I think the last move I saw was the new Oliver Twist directed by Roman Polanski. I rather enjoyed it but parts of it were so hard to watch Oliver was played by Barney Clark, what a little cutie! The last movie I saw at the theater was Pride and Prejudice. Yeah it wasn't exactly like the book but I enjoyed it. ;D

I went to see Walk The Line around the holidays and thought it was great. I was very impressed that they did their own singing. Wow! I was never one for Johnny Cash, but after seeing that, I actually bought the soundtrack and his greatest hits. Another movie I saw recently was Woody Allen's Match Point. It was okay. The reviews for it were good, but for me, it was a little too dark. However, there were some moments that I thought were really good. So, I'm glad I saw it. I'm trying to think of some other movies that I'd like to see. Can't think of any at the moment though. Hmm...

Blair Witch Project OMG!!!!!!!! Remind me to never watch it again! That movie was so scary I was already covering my eyes before they even went into the woods! Couldn't sleep all night because I had the feeling someone was watching me.

Couldn't sleep all night because I had the feeling someone was watching me. Yeah, that movie will make ya just a tad sick. Man, that movie was a phenomenon over here. Just the way it was marketed. They really got the world talking about this one. I didn't see it in the theatre, but heard so many people got sick with the shakey home movie style. And I was so freaked as well. The ending is so scary!

Yeah I liked Blair Witch project, leaves things to your imagination which can be a very effective way of scaring you! Anyone seen the 2nd one? Apparently it was filmed "normally" like a proper film follow-up to the original "story". Oh hell that makes no sense, I know what I mean!
