What are we all reading?
Last book I read was Patricia Cornwell's Predator. I was a bit disappointed with her last two books, and this one had mixed reviews, but I couldn't put it down. Anyone else like a bit of crime/forensic reading?
At the moment, I just started the DaVinci Code, but haven't really had time to get into it yet.

The last book I've read was "De Reunie" (which means The Reunion ) it's a thriller about a girl who witnessed her best friends murder. I made a short Trailer for it. Right now I'm reading Memoirs of a Geisha. Only 20 more pages and it's finished. I really recomment you to read it, it's really good! They've just made a movie based on it. If I didn't have school I would have read it in a week (it's about 460 pages). Now I still have to figure out what to read next. I don't think I want to start on a 460 pages long book again right after this one. I still have a book that I haven't read. Bought it 3 years ago. I'm either going to read that one or the Da Vinci Code...(which is again a thick book, so probably not )

Currently I'm reading Isolde Queen of the Western Isle by Rosalind Miles. First one of hers I've read and I'm enjoying it so far.

I am in the middle of The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly. He is quite a good author. I also enjoy crime and forensics. I didn't really enjoy The DaVinci Code and chose to take most of it with a huge pinch of salt. I read most popular authors. I am doing a teaching degree full time, but extramurally, at the moment as well as working part-time, so I prefer to keep my leisure reading light and entertaining.

Oh my goodness, it was wonderful. Have you seen it?! Is it a book or a play? Are you enjoying it? Maybe 'enjoy' is the wrong word, it's pretty depressing! Love Gem

I just finished a great book, its a bestseller here but I don´t know if it has been translated already. Its called "Der Schwarm" by Frank Schaetzing. Its about how the world temperature is changing and also the marine life is changing and why its not balanced anymore and what can happen. Its hard to explain but really good. In fact, it saved some people´s lifes one the terrible Tsunami in Dec 2004 in Asia. When tourists who had read the book saw the ocean move backwards so fast they knew that a big wave would come back soon and they ran for their lifes right away- and survived. I couldn´t put the book out of my hands although it had around 1000 pages.

Wow don't you all read what sound to be highly intelligent books? I'm currently reading a novel about a young boy's fight against evil, twists and turns aplenty as he does not know who he can trust. Not many have heard the title, something to do with a half-blood prince. After that I will read Spot the Dog and possibly a little Maisy Mouse.............

I've not read the latest Harry Potter yet, but it's next on my list. I'm going away next weekend on a school trip, will probably take it with me then.

I think The Half Blood Prince has been favorite so far as well willisfan. I'm currently reading Memory in Death by JD Robb/Nora Roberts. Its the latest in a series of in Death books and I think I'm hooked on them , I think this is like #23 or something.

Ooh I totally forgot to tell you what Memoirs of a Geisha is about! (finished it btw). It's about a young girl who's mother is really sick and her father is already really old. Her father sells her and her sister Satsu to an old man named Tanaka. She's send to Kioto to become a Geisha. She meets a man there and every step she takes in life is to become closer to him. The book tells her whole story from the beginning till the end. It's sad, romantic and kinda funny. You should really read it. I haven't read the latest Harry Potter yet. I did read all the others so I guess I'm going to read it some day I liked the movie of the 4th one. That's still my favorite HP book, so I was really glad the movie was so much like it. Right now, I'm in between books I think I'm going to read Emoticon. Don't know if it's translated, it's written by Jessica Durlacher and I have absolutely no idea what it is about, because there isn't even a short story on the back.

I used to be really obsessed (or one of those s-words) with "gone with the wind", but now I prefer Agatha Christie-novels. Once, I even figured out who the murderer was from the beginning.. Must´ve been all the ML-experience.
Right now I´m reading a book called" the little sister" by Raymond Chandler. It was written in 1950, but it´s really funny and not at all "old".

One of my friends just gave me a couple of books to borrow, but haven't started them yet. The first is Wicked, by Gregory Maguire. I really wanna read that one becuse I'd like to see the Broadway show and would like some info before going. The other, is a book called The Five People You Meet in Heaven, by Mitch Albom. It's supposed to be great.
Happy reading!
