This Season Finale is the only one that doesn't leave me wanting, since it actually has some kind of ending! And that's very unusual for this show, in my opinion. Of course you'd wanna know what happened with the relationship and the baby and all, but as it does look so promising, you could figure it out on your own.
I'm a sucker for happy endings, and this has got one. It even links the first ep with the last: A Trip To The Moon: "Where is our realationship going?" And the Flesh was Made Word: "Now the relationship's going somewhere!!"
I'm a big fan of this one now. (Wasn't before, however.) This episode and, IMHO, all of the ones after Maddie returned were classic Moonlighting with all the spark and raw emotion to match. I even think the writing was up to snuff. In terms of the dialogue I mean, certainly the Walter plotline was a HUGE mistake, but otherwise I'm much more impressed than I remember being during the original run. Really very good stuff here!
Great ending. Of course they crushed us with what happened later, but I remember great anticipation inbetween Season 4 and Season 5. I figured with this great wrap up show that we were back in the groove.
before season 5 releasing ,i've re-watched this episode again last evening!all considered...it seems to be a happy ending after all the season 4 facts. i mean...going to chicago, marry walter, got married and then annulled the naxt day... dave is great in being so patient! an then they turned something bad (writers' strike) into a funny scene!bert singing wooly bully is really hilarious!!!! ;D ;D ;D
