The only redeeming thing about this one is two little words: COUCH SCENE!

7! This Bert and Agnes romp was a lot of fun. Even if David and Maddie weren’t in it at all, I would still like it. While the couch scene definitely had its appeal ;D, it kind of annoyed me that it wasn’t actually them. Why can’t they really get to this point in their story?
I just wish if another episode was going to be devoted to the Second Couple that there had been more than two episodes left to explore and wrap up the D/M relationship. Couldn’t the studio allow just a few more episodes at least? Would they have really lost so much money that they couldn’t afford to finish telling this quirky wonderful love story properly?

I'd give a 7 here. The couch scene was funny and Cybill there reminds a lot her character in her future Cybill sitcom. I also liked the ending with Burt and his family and how he and Agnes move on living their lives together, prepairing us - the viewers - for their finale and their marriage. On contrast, we have quite the opposite relationship of David and Maddie, that leads to nowhere

Uh, I suppose I wasn't the only one confused when this episode started. I mean, in the last show, we see Dave chasing out the door after Annie and Maddie left to lock up.
Then poof! A new episode that could have been in the can for a year or two. OK, OK, I know they knew by then the show was toast and was just burning up the stuff they had. You would have thought they would have at least taken the time to shoot a couple of new scenes at the beginning....even if was to ELIMINATE D&M and to stop the confusion. But NO! They could care less about the now dwindling number of loyal fans.
Fine. Now that I am off my rant, I didn't think the episode was all that bad. The character actors that played Bert's family were spot on. I actually felt like I was at the reunion with him. And the couch scene.....damn! I had to take a shower after watching that one. Where were they hiding THAT dream sequence? That was the absolute finest display of PG rated heat that ever broadcast on network TV.
I have to take another shower.

Seems i never rated this one: Well it's almost the end of season 5, most of us dont like the last 4 episodes. This one is cute for Burt/Agnes, i do love them as a couple but towards the end of the show i so didnt want to see a full B/A episode. So much happened in the episode before this and nothing is ever mentioned, like everything was normal in the beginning with M/D in her office when Agnes comes in about going to jury duty. Makes no sense i tell ya. But the redeeming scene ,the one amazing bright spot , yes is that amazing couch scene! Why couldnt it have been real? We deserved more of that in REEL life I give it a 5. Anyone elses thoughts?

Gave it a 7 .. It wasn't a boring episode, I liked the court thing & Agnes is delightful & suprisingly Burt didn't annoy me much this time .. Didn't care much for the couch scene, I thought it was cheesy lol, but it did turn me on

A clear 8 for me and one of the best episodes of season 5. I always loved Mister Viola and think Agnes and Bert, their romance and all added A LOT to the show. Loved to see the whole Viola clan(Veni, Vidi, Violi !) and this episode definitely had a lot of laughs. Those two definitely would have deserved a spin off. This episode had almost everything. A decent case, laughs, love, heart-felt moments...I only wonder, is Agnes Italian too? Her name always sort of sounded like it. Cute to see how Bert doesn't really speak Italian(although he seems to speak fluent French, we already saw that his Italian is quite...err...special in "Perfetc" ). It always puts a smile on my face to see that at least these two got it right:). They also had a really good rapport off camera, judging by the audio comment(and almost had a steamy affair according to it ).

I had forgotten that this was an Agnes and Burt episode. Maybe I'll watch in full sometime but I just skimmed through parts. With only a few episodes left they really should have focused on David and Maddie and written a better ending for them. Anyway, I do like the couch scene but I hate that it is the last time we see these two make out and it's not really them. Ugh. Also I love the background music in this one, at the end and when Agnes is in her room before the dream.
