Hellllloooo, anyone? Anyone out there? Here are my question contributions for the evening: 1. Maddie laments in the car, "What's happened to all the rules? Where's the romance?" a)What exactly do you think she's yearning for in this scene? b)What is it about the Woodley/Macy case that subsequently turns Maddie into David (ba-bing!), believing that this letter-writing scheme is "wonderfully romantic"? 2. Do you think Maddie "does" a better David, or vice versa? (Hey--I didn't put in the pun, folks--it's in the script!) 3. I really like the scene between Maddie and Bert. What do you think she was going to say to him, there at the end? 4. Do you think that, in this episode, we're already being invited to compare Bert & Agnes with David & Maddie? 5. Favorite line? (I know this gets asked a lot, but there are some real humdingers in this ep!)

Here's a few more!!
1. Besides breaking office decorum, how do you think Maddie feels about an uninhibited Ms. DiPesto?
2. MAddie tries to get David to have a serious conversation about the state of romance in society at that time. Why do you think David is so ready to brush off romance?
3. Maddie and Bert have a conversaton in her office about Agnes and her lack of inhibitions. Bert tells her that if he quits running away that Agnes will catch him. Considering Maddie's response: "And then what will happen?", how does this reflect David and Maddie's relationship at this point?
Give it a whirl!! And don't forget, if you can't chime in tonight you have the rest of the week! There is no due date!!
Where is gray's avatar??!!

Oh, I thought I was late for the party...ok I dive right in then. 1. A) I think Maddie is yearning to have a back in forth with David to get some things off her chest (as these two do so well through other peoples experiences); also to see where David's head is on romance. B) Good question. The "Ba-bing" idea is Maddie's way of thinking outside of the box. Maddie seems to feel very proud of herself too because it is a very unorthodox way to handle a case; especially one that is "seemingly" already closed.

3. I really like the scene between Maddie and Bert. What do you think she was going to say to him, there at the end? Honestly, I feel like Maddie is going to tell Bert to face his feelings or at least consider them. Maddie pulls back because she knows she has not heeded that herself and also knows it is more easily said than done.

4. Do you think that, in this episode, we're already being invited to compare Bert & Agnes with David & Maddie? Yes & Yes 5. Favorite line? (I know this gets asked a lot, but there are some real humdingers in this ep!) I have two that I can't decide between so I'll give them both. "Hey Lady, wanna lick my mail?" "That's gonna take a whole lot more postage."

1. Besides breaking office decorum, how do you think Maddie feels about an uninhibited Ms. DiPesto? Maddie is appalled because she has pegged Ms. DiPesto as shy and naive. Also, it could be that Maddie has this misconception about men making the first move; so Agnes' outward infatuation with Bert shows a great confidence that Maddie is unfamiliar with.

Considering Maddie's response: "And then what will happen?", how does this reflect David and Maddie's relationship at this point? Wow Bees, a great question indeed!!! Humm... May be Maddie is considering not running from her and David's "relationship". I'm going to ponder this and come back, there is a lot to be said here. Plus, it's a ghost town right now so I guess I have some time, lol.

2. MAddie tries to get David to have a serious conversation about the state of romance in society at that time. Why do you think David is so ready to brush off romance? I'm not sure it's so much that he's ready to brush off romance. David is, I think, a deeply romantic guy...but he's also a very accepting one. I think his message here is "whatever floats your boat"--whereas Maddie (oh, Maddie!) is saying that romance "should" follow the trajectory of "you meet someone, you go out on a few dates," etc. The funny thing is (vis a vis my first question), I think she's actually yearning to break the rules a little herself. Rules make her feel safe, feel comfortable...but, after "Man Who Cried Wife," she's realizing that they can be very constricting, too!

Considering Maddie's response: "And then what will happen?", how does this reflect David and Maddie's relationship at this point? Great great question, bees! Maybe Maddie is asking herself that question too...or we're meant to ask it of her. What will happen if she gives into her growing feelings for David (say, for example, she writes him an anonymous letter )?

Thanks for the questions, jpen and bees! I think you two gave us the very interesting Qs and they are the good keys to ponder about their feelings for each other. Ifd like to go the two Qs together. 1. Maddie laments in the car, "What's happened to all the rules? Where's the romance?" a) What exactly do you think she's yearning for in this scene?.....jpen 2. Maddie tries to get David to have a serious conversation about the state of romance in society at that time. Why do you think David is so ready to brush off romance?.....bees I think this car conversation shows the difference between their views about romance as we already know. But I think she is just upset, not angry at Agnes and Gail, and starting questioning her own common sense instead. Somehow in this episode I feel that she respects David and his opinions, from the way she looks at him and her attitude, and that she is changing a little and considering him, she doesnft reveal a clue about it though. However, I also got the sense that David didnft seem to take gromance thingh seriously at this point. I suppose his romance with Maddie is absolutely serious, not kind of the things he would find everywhere, except for whether he has realized it or not. And I think itfs too bad that D&M seemingly getting on very well at this point arenft making progress in their relationship in this episode.

Considering Maddie's response: "And then what will happen?", how does this reflect David and Maddie's relationship at this point? .....bees Yes, I like the scene, too! I think Maddie doesnft want Agnes to get hurt by Bertfs attitude. If Bert doesnft know how he is really feeling about Agnesc actually he says itc and I think Maddie wants him to consider Agnes and their relationship before jumping into the deeper level. As for David and Maddie, they seem taking it slow, trying writing the letterscitfs heartwarming but also make me feel a little irritated. 4. Do you think that, in this episode, we're already being invited to compare Bert & Agnes with David & Maddie?...jpen Yes, and I like that both relationships appear very lively, and the characters are making the different approaches to each other. It is interesting!

You won't believe this, but I totally forgot that yesterday was Tuesday! I got wrapped up in some stuff and this morning it hit me (didn't leave a bruise). Great questions jen and bees! Unfortunately, I can't get to them until tonight - I guess work comes first. Catch up then.

Unfortunately, I can't get to them until tonight - I guess work comes first. Catch up then. And I thought I was the only one who got time shifted. I was away for a week and have been watching DVR stuff for the past couple of days and like lin, did not think it was Tuesday! I remembered around 1130 last night when I finally got that stubborn alternator fixed on the vette. I will try and rewatch tonight and attack the questions...but it may be Thursday. Can ya all forgive me?

I really meant why does it appear that David is brushing off romance.
