Bad episode for Maddie's girls, I'd say... Well, well, well..... I disagree (of course I do! ) David IS very loving to her, he does his best, I admire him madly! But... I'm looking at the situation through Maddie's eyes: she loves him, but she is not sure he loves her. She needs to hear these 3 words (I think every girl needs it). He is beating about the bush all the time, and that what makes her even more nervous and more confused. I think. Of course every girl needs to hear them, you're completely right! But he has said them, hasn't he? How many times does he have to repeat them? The reason for her confusion is rooted alone in her... I don't know how to call it... well, she's a control freak, isn't she?? Being with David means losing control , and she can't stand that. I think. P.S.: you're so sweet, goldie!

Great and hilarous opening... very sexy, very funny, although very soon we see from Maddie's expression and reactions there's something not too good in store. Of course, gotta love David's line: My favorite scene - and IMHO one of the best scenes ever - is the first car conversation. Please, folks, I need somebody to tell me that there's nothing wrong with me just because I feel the maddening urge to smoke an entire packet of cigarettes after having watched this scene. I mean, honestly, listening to David's words, listening to his voice and tone when he speaks them, watching his face expression gives me - in a region far south of the brain - really a sensation of... uhm... OK, OK, this is a family board. Don't let me get carried away. I'm callllllllllmmmm!!!! *steam* Next scene. Starting again very sexy (am I the only one to notice a drop of sweat on David's face?!) and funny, I love David's outburst ( drop it, Nancy!!!): &. I haven't re-watched this one yet but how could I ever forget that conversation in the car (Sound of a locomotive in a tunnel)! Yes it's ...erm...swoooooon! ...the sweat on David's face? Oh yes- I saw that sneaky and wayward little droplet! ...and yes, Sandra, consider it dropped! ;-)

P.S.: you're so sweet, goldie! yeah, yeah, yeah... it looks like he did say the right words to her (I believe he did anyway ) But he could have told it once again and somewhere else, not only in the bedroom... Remember how impressed she was in the "Trip to the Moon", when he made his wonderful declaration of love infront of the whole world???!!! That was beautiful! That what I mean But yeah, Maddie IS a control freak, I'm the one too, maybe that's why I do understand her so well

That what I mean You're right, that would have me swept off my feet completely! I think she was really confused. She was impressed by that, but on the other hand, first she didn't want anybody to know. Ah, I don't know. Poor thing though, she hurt herself, too.

just stumbled over a song fitting David's elated mood when he comes to the office: How lucky can one guy be? I kissed her and she kissed me - Like a fella once said: Ain't that a kick in the head?
The room was completely black I hugged her and she hugged back Like the sailor said - quote - Ain't that a hole in the boat?
My head keeps spinning I go to sleep and keep grinning If this is just the beginning My life is gonna be - autiful
The sun heats enough to sweat It's just like the fella said I couldn't feel any better or I'd be sick Tell me quick Ain't that a kick in the head? It's a Dean Martin song BTW. Well, the feeling didn't last unfortunately...

I have watched this scene more times than I'm willing to admit, because I love to watch David seduce Maddie without even touching her...another example of the exceptionally targeted use of language on this show. Also tells us that David spent a lot of time learning what his lady liked..no wonder she couldn't resist him! Also, her reaction is one of my favorite Maddie moments in the series--for those few seconds, she lets all her worries and insecurities go, and revels in his attention and attraction to her: 'David, David, David!' Phew...anybody got a light? ;D

He could have read the phone book to me and I'd have collapsed!

Thanks for posting sandra; I don't think I've read that one before Phew...anybody got a light? ;D Eh you . . . jpen! I'm no longer a smoker but I sure could use a few right about now. Hoo-ah! But now I have a bone to pick with you: ONE chapter? ONE? Seriously? I guess you danced the "Caronesque Tease" with us there.

But you're right, a great piece of Jen's, and she really should go ahead! But I resent one thing: I've never smoked in my entire life, and now I'm almost literally forced to start?! ;D

All I want to say is Pact/Shmact!
I have to admit that I have no idea why she wanted that pact! She has slept with him, exchanged feelings, set the house on fire...no wonder he's exasperated! I guess some Maddie-ites might argue that she still had not had the opportunity to choose without either of them around but now she has tasted the honey! Come on woman...that's David in your bed! Only a 'gnat with a labotomy' would kick him out!
There are two unforgettable scenes in this episode: his verbal foreplay- my goodness that has got to be the sexiest section of sexual seduction to ever pour onto our screens; and of course, the end scene when they're rolling down the hill locked in passion! I repeat: Pact/Shmact! :-)
