Wow, these script postings change my view on a couple of issues, particularly the Agnes/David chat. I agree with Diane that the edited scene at Maddie's house would have been a good one to see.
I suppose this is an episode where they had to CUT, instead of FILL, eh?

Well, I never heard it as Candy, which is why you all had me so confused. I did check the script which clearly says Ghandi. And doesn't it make more sense? Ghandi was a philosopher, which is the point of the sentence...saying that Maddie's mother is a philosopher aka Ghandi Hayes. Then using alliteration, the word Ghandi flows to Gabby, the actor. Hate to burst your bubble......but Mrs. Hayes is definitely not a "Candy". Maybe a Ginny if she's had one too many glasses of champagne, though!! I was born and raised in Chicago, the accent is not an issue. Thanks Diane but I'm sticking with Candy on this one, she totally says that; maybe it was a slip and they kept it because it was a good take...who knows with ML. Thanks again~

Thanks Lin and Bees.....I think a lot of my opinions have been colored by not only what aired, but what is in the scripts, and a lot of the time, I forget which is which. We did discuss at one point all of us getting the script for one episode, and using that in the discussion. Is that still on the table? I have only 1 script and its packed somewhere in my new garage LOL And bad me i dont remember which episode its from LOL Once i find it i'll let you all know if it's something we havent done yet

I'd still love to do this, if everyone else is up for it! diane, I'm sure you could give us a recommend on which episode would be most interesting for a script-to-aired comparison (and I guess it would depend on what's available out there too--I did notice that scriptcity.com has copies of "Dream Sequence," for example).

The reason I say that is, when Cindy and I spoke to GGC related to the DVDs, we asked about the existence of extra footage, outtakes etc. Glenn stated that although there could be some, he was pretty sure they included almost everything usable.....they were usually stretching to fill. My assumption from that would be that the cuts happened in script, pre-filming. I know it's not the definitive answer.....but it's the best I've got!!

And your best Diane...well it is the best! I remember reading about that in your interview now. I guess it's comforting...sometimes... sort of...to know that that they at least considered some of the very things we scrutinize and often don't understand. That extra footage will just have to float around in our heads, yes??!! ;D

I love the deleted scenes for this episode - oh I do wish that they had kept the extra dialogue with Agnes and David- too cute! It would have explained Agnes' reactions so much more clearly...I also would have loved to hear him talk of 2 garages and moving in-sigh!
I do love the Claymation scene in this episode - genius way to have them talk about their issues! I always have to watch it twice in order to listen to what the characters actually say -as I'm so distracted by the brilliant animation! It's a really intriguing look inside Addison's brain lol.
However, I am left feeling so sad at the end :-( I hate it when he discovers she has gone and that phone call between them is tooooo sad for words. Oh David. They're both hurting so much.
I had to go away and watch 'WMHGM' just to make me feel better! :-)

Just do it! It is not that bad actually, there are some sweet moments too.. Besides, I agree with Nancy, Bruce's performance is brilliant, he does his best, you will love watching him! But I really miss Cybill in this episode, I am not so fond of episodes where she is not around, it doesn't seem right: David without Maddie? No. It is wrong. So wrong.
