Hey! Ya, neither do I. I was just another one in the series of slaps in the face. We could handle seeing Maddie with Sam because there really was no real intimacy there. But Dave was so INTO IT, it was really unsettling. And yes, unbelievable. Also painful becuase we never saw Dave and Maddie enjoying that level of intimacy. I know they were try to build up to a reunion, but even so, it was over the top. Hello both of you! First of all, I noticed some time ago watching Designated Survivor that Annie (Virginia Masden)is still acting : she plays Speaker Hookstratten in that show...time flies by... However, I must say that I don't understand the point of showing the audience the growing intimacy between David and Annie. It's everything that was suggested between David and Maddie that made the magic of their relationship. How could the writers imagine that showing the "real life" of David and Annie could be interesting. There is no way we could believe he could be jealous after seeing him so naturally happy with another woman. Season 5 may have been sad if the producers wanted to end the show, but they didn't have to make it ridiculous (I think:))

I think this is a good episode by the standards of S5, with a genuinely chilling scene in the parking lot/elevator. It's only marred by the presence of you-know-who doing you-know-what with our Dave, who comes out of this with absolutely no credit whatsoever. I'm quite happy that Maddie seems to be moving on (taking cookery lessons - everyone needs to cook!) and I think that by this stage, she was much better off with the detective. They look to be a good match. I know this won't go down very well...

I don't believe David was actually interested in Annie at all. We are shown this very clearly at the beginning of the first Annie episode when David ogles Demi Moore and Annie fails to even register on his radar. It's only after David comes into the office and sees Annie and Maddie laughing that he takes notice of Annie, because he views her as a device (admittedly a fun and pretty one!) that he can use to provoke Maddie. And the writers make sure that it's hard to feel too bad for Annie by having her cheat on her husband.

Hi Bluemooncenturycity, it's Marta here. I just popped in to leave a personal message to somebody (after more than 6 months of board absence) and noticed that you do not seem to have any replies to your posts, which is very unusual by the standards on this board. I also noticed that all recent contributors seem to have moved to another site, set up a few months ago: moonlightingstrangers.com. They have a lot of fun with virtual Moonlighting and fun fiction there, it seems. You may like to join them there if you haven't already. I didn't see your proboard moniker there, this is why I am writing.
I shall drop in here from time to time to check whether there are any persons around still interested only in the show as it was produced and intended to be all those years ago...
