But anyway, another couple of lines that crack me up:
Next Stop Murder: Agnes: "Wow, carpeting on the walls" David: "Must be tough to vacuum"
and
Maddie: "You know when I was little i used to feel like I had to eat every single pea on my plate cos I hated the idea of one little pea being seperated from the rest of his family" David: "You know what I used to do? Used to slice them in half to see if they'd scream"
Love the randomness of the last one, on a train, there's been a murder, so let's talk about peas. Hmmm. Maybe they were just taking the peas? Oh god, i'm sorry, that's terrible I'll delete it later when you've all stopped throwing stuff in my direction.

Ahh, wouldn't that be lovely It really irks me that so many shows are out in their entirety (sp) and ML is taking so long. Alright, I know the music is a big part of it, but even a statement form lions Gate would do. At least then we'd have something to look forward to. We've heard nothing. UGH, and my tapes are terrible! It's so not even worth watching them anymore After watching the dvds, I think we're spoiled. I still can't get over how good they look! ~Kara

When I rewatched this ep over the summer, it cracked me up! I had forgotten it. Kara

Commentaries on eps like "Big Man", "Symphony", and "The Big Bang". With ALL the actors together - even Mark Harmon. I'd wait months for the dvds if all that was being produced. It would be priceless. Not to mention the gag reel which needs to be at least 30 minutes long! I know some people here don't care for gag reels. But I for one, LOVE THEM! Because you see them mess up, sometimes on purpose - and they stop being the characters. I have several seasons of gag reels from The X Files - and I can't stop grinning the whole time. They're GREAT!! And as I said before, wouldn't it be spectacular to have a 'reunion' on the dvd - or at least "The Big Bang" commentaries with both Bruce and Cybill. In my opinion, they need to make this the 'finest' release they can, because after season 3...well, we know. I'm chomping at the bit, just waiting to here news of what they'll contain. C'mon 'Spys'....what's the scuttlebutt???

Well, I'm not party to any "scuttle," but I just wanted to second your motion. I think it would be just right for the holiday season. Anyway... I'm pretty sure there was at least one episode, I'm thinking early 3rd season but correct me if I'm wrong, where during the original airing they showed bloopers in between the credits for the last few minutes of the time. I love seeing people get all flummoxed. They think they're 'in character,' and so does everybody else I guess, and then oops. Here's one off the top of my head: both the lead actors are in one of the offices and someone off screen reads part of the line: "And we're going to take the money and, what?..." The two of them turn to the camera and blurt, "And get down!" I just howled at that one.

I have the ones from a Season 5 episode (Take My Wife For example???) but I love those. And C & B together HAS to be done. I'll wait for that as long as it takes!!

There's a scene I notice in the opening credits (from the first two years), that I can't place as to the episode from which it was drawn.
It's the one where David is fighting off someone by swinging a golf club.
I know they shoot more footage than they wind up using, but did this scene actually happen in the pilot, or another episode? Was it simply an image they had left over and threw in just because it was time filler or looked exciting?
Thanks to anyone who can help. ;D

There is a scene in the Pilot where David is swinging a fire poker at someone. Is this the scene you are talking about?

Howdy,
The fire poker picture in the credits is most definately from the Pilot. It's the scene where M&D are trying to fight off -(their names escape me at the moment) -the short man and his goon who will eventually apply 'duress' to them - tied up in the kitchen with the sausage being fried on the stove. And the blooper queensgirl is talking about is from season 3 The Straight Poop. They show bloopers through out the credits. And that one is from Money Talks...Maddie Walks. The scene in the hall right after they've talked to Ron. David is trying to talk her into taking the money and going home. The line is supposed to be, "Let's the take the money, get on a plane and...." He flubs the line, and she says, "And what!" And they both turn to the camera and yell, "And get down with that funky..." And they cut it off - wonder what they said. Sorry I was so long winded in this post....

yeah, that's so funny! I love the bloopers at the end of the Straight Poop. My favourite is the one from that episode when Rona asks David what happened to his hair. I also love the one where Cybill messes up in the scene in her office from Knowing Her.

From Money Talks Maddie Walks:
at the beginning when Maddie looks up and sees the man about to jump, Maddie: "Officer I know that man." David: "That's ok, I'm your friend to and it doesn't make me want to end it all."
Then when Maddie's about to go out on the ledge "....and whatever you do, don't you take your shirt off."
