When David asked Maddie if she believed in God, and she said no ("How can you?"), David's reply:
"How can you not? He's given you brains, he's given you beauty, he's given you me!"
That's our man. Ever-humble. ;D

In Brother Can You Spare A Blonde... M: "He's a terrific guy!" D: "Ritchie? Oh he's great, you just don't wanna be around during skin-shedding season" M: "He had nothing but nice things to say about you" D: "Well I have nothing but nice things to say about me either" M: "I did it again" D: "Did what? And would you do it once with me?" And from Dream Sequence, I LOVE this bit (think it's in the car): M: "I'm not speaking to you, AM NOT, AM NOT, AM NOT, AM NOT! Not another word, not another sound, not another peep until we get back to the office!" (Pause) D: "Peep!" ;D ;D ;D

I love the line from Between A Yuk and A Hard Place while D&M are driving out on some "wild goose case"
Maddie: "Out with it!" David: "Here? Right now? While I'm driving?"
very funny! Also quite like the "denying the denial" argument that follows and they speak their minds by picking up a random hitch-hiker! Actually is a good episode this one - one with the parrots!! Ok bye!

I'd forgotten about that one Babyhayes!!
I've just watched a couple of fifth season epi's and I love the way he says the following in Take My Wife, For Example (I think):-
"There is nothing more stimulating than the pursuit of knowledge"..

I'd forgotten about that one Babyhayes!! I've just watched a couple of fifth season epi's and I love the way he says the following in Take My Wife, For Example (I think):- " There is nothing more stimulating than the pursuit of knowledge".. Mul That is right, that saying of David is when is "testing" the kisses with some Blue Moon Staff Girls ;D ;D(about the comment that Maddie says to him, beacuse he kiss to hard)
And,I find this ones on the same episode:
"Wow,wow wow,I am not a kind of manchine you can turn on! I need a cup of joe. A trip to the little boys room. And reading the sports page, then we talk"
"Maddie:See,this case isn't so bad,it's kind of romantic,playing cupid. David:Yeah,and I am not looking bad in diper ethier." ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
How about you? Sakura

" And that comes from a region...just south of the brain." (Pauses, points to his heart.) David, in (pretty sure) "It's a Wonderful Job." I believe it was following an argument in which Maddie had been going over the budget and trying to make big firing or expense decisions. Dave gets very defensive and angry and cuts her off with an explanation that implies she cares about the wrong thing: the bottom line, instead of what effect it'll have on people's everyday lives. Once again, David is presented as the 'man of the people' when compared to the efficient, staunchly realistic Ms. Hayes.

I think that quote is from 'To Heiress Human' when they are discussing the case (the barman and the heiress) and after Maddie has started that 'pact crap!'
He then goes on to say that he's off to the bar to "quaff a few cold ones with Mr ?? and get the real skinny" or something like that.
Obsessive, moi? :-)

I could have sworn he says this as he turns to walk out of her office, after he's had a fight with her over her plans to fire people (Macgillicuddy and somebody else) right before Christmas. Well, if I'm wrong I'm wrong. ;D Wish I had my tapes! I know they're somewhere... "Wonderful Job" is one of my favorites, and there is some kind of scene where he is cross with her over the business plan. (It would be early in the show, before the dream gets going.)

Are you thinking of where David says "Just remember a good job doesn't love you back"
Oh and I love that line in To Heiress Human.

I still don't think that's it, but if I'm off, then I'm off. Can't wait to go pick up my stuff from storage in CT and have my tapes! ;D

From Gunfight:
David: If I get killed, I'm never speaking to you again
I don't know why I find this so funny, but it cracks me up!!
And another one from Read the Mind:
Maddie: Addison, the ground is damp. David: You're kidding, damp ground? I'm taking it back!

"If I'm lyin', I'm dyin'."
--Not sure when he says this, but I think he does more than once. It was a favorite line of my brother's.

Every Daughter's Father is a Virgin - David to Maddie when she gives him a cloth to put on his face:
'A wet rag - how you'
and, later in the car:
Maddie: I'm sorry David: That's ok, I just figured it must be your day of the week

" He would have done anything for her." --From David's half of the imagined dialogue in the office, toward the end of "Dream Sequence." Very revealing about his true feelings--and of course, not really talking about just the people in the Flamingo Cove case at all!
