They are wonderful! David's uses Rod Stewart's "You're In My Heart" and Maddie's is set to the song "More Than You Know"...the composer is escaping me at the moment... , but Cybill sings it!!

Well...I realized that this is an off topic topic, so I guess the conversation is not in the wrong place, unless anyone else objects.
"More than You Know" is by Vincent Youmans, Billy Rose, and Edward Eliscu. The name that may jump out at you is Billy Rose......yes, that Billy Rose -- the showman and entrepreneur. The song is featured prominently in the movie "Funny Lady" which details the marriage of Mr. Rose and Fanny Brice.
So back to the ML videos.......I had "You're in My Heart" chosen years before......I always thought it would make a great "Maddie" song.....But when we went to choose the David song, we went through dozens of songs and artists. One day, I popped Cybill's "Vanilla" CD in.....and whacked myself on the side of the head........"More than You'll Know" was just perfect, and I had no idea how we had missed it.....especially since it was sung by Cybill, it was perfect for something that was supposed to be in Maddie's thoughts.
Here are the lyrics for those that don't know them:
More than you know More than you know Man of my heart, I love you so Lately I find You're on my mind More than you know
Whether you're right, whether you're wrong Man of my heart, I'll string along You need me so More than you'll ever know
Loving you the way that I do There's nothing I can do about it Loving may be all you can give But honey, I can't live without it
Oh how I'd cry, oh how I'd cry If you got tired, and said goodbye More than I'd show More than you'd ever know

Oooops...I stand corrected. Although Cybill does "More than You Know" on Vanilla....we actaully found the song on the CD "Memphis Belles: Past, Present, and Future" which is an outstanding compilation of many Southern artists.

...when you choose to have dinner at Pinot Bistro, formerly La Serre, solely for the fact that it was where Cybill first met Glenn and Jay to discuss our beloved show. My friend and I glanced around and tried to figure out exactly where they sat. We've been planning this for a while, and in the meantime I had renamed the place "Auspicious Beginnings."

Pinot B. was La Serre? How did I not know that? I can't count how many times I've eaten there unaware. LOL

...when you hear a rhythmic banging of hammers to equipment (or some kind of warehouse-y type sound) coming from your company's warehouse, and all of a sudden it becomes Maddie knocking on David's door at 4 am in "Maddie's Turn to Cry." Am I ever!

I have been commenting on my West Coast's friend's pictures and statuses all morning using Moonlighting quotes etc. without even realizing it! Maybe cause she is one of the friends who helped me borrow Bruce's door mat when he lived in Malibu! Ah those were the days!

I told my co-worker last week about this screening I'd be attending and that an ML writer would be there. My co-worker in turn told me a story about her grandmother, who was a HUGE ML fan at the time of its run. She would get on the phone at 9 pm every Tuesday night with her best friend. They would stay on the phone the entire hour; she'd put up her hand as if to say "stop" and shush anyone in the room who dared make a sound. I said, "Wow, you must have had some hip grandmother. After all, Orson Welles once instructed the audience to gather the kids, the dog, Grandma...and lock them in another room!"

I think my little story falls under the title "You know your kid is Repressed, Obessesed....etc" Yesterday I went to lunch with my best friend and her 21 year old daughter - who was also my kid's babysitter for 5 years. She is away at college now and has her first boyfriend. I said to them while driving home: "Guess who I got to see today? Bailey!!" My 4 year old daughter cheered. My 8 year old son Wyatt says: "So, is she in love.?....Is she pregnant?....Is she moving to Chicago....? It struck me that his perception of falling in love mirrors what he's seen on Moonlighting. In my efforts to show him only the best, I have warped him.

I live in Scotland, we don't use the word "mall" here very often so yesterday when my friend jokingly called the local shopping centre the mall of course I couldn't help but say "the mall has it all". As my friend has never seen Moonlighting before she just thought it was a funny line of my own ;D
