Bees, how was the game? I know they won, and I credit you with the win!
Phils had their first oooops, last night. Poor Cole got hammered. He is so cute, if the opposing team were all women, they would be stunned into striking out every time!
Oh well......I guess I knew they weren't going to be undefeated this season. Tonight we have our 5th starter, who is affectionately known as Joey Pancakes (he's a little dough-boyish!), and he is not a guy to be underestimated. He would be a solid #3 pitcher on almost any other team.
OK...I am off to watch Chestnut Hill College beat whoever the heck they are playing in a doubleheader. Not sure I would be willing to risk the blue fingers and toes if Bobby weren't their ace reliever!

We won Monday and today, sweeping the Mariners! Very excited that the Rangers are 6-0, but I'm very much aware that it is early to be claiming a Ch--- ....knockknockknock 3x's no jinx!! Yes, your Cole is a cutie!! All of your Phillies are cute, I tell ya'. Though, I'm a little partial to David "Murphman" Murphy right now... Hope you didn't freeze at your nephews games today. Go Rangers. Beat the Orioles!!

Go Rangers, Go Phils! ;D
Got to see Timmy throw 13 strikeouts today...the Giants lit the place up with their bats, too. Almost choked in the 9th, but managed to get out of it...and we improve to 2-4. Hey, if it ain't TORTURE, it ain't Giants baseball!

Sat through 18 innings of mind numbing, really awful baseball this afternoon. Bobby didn't play...they were losing so badly, and he was on only 3 days of rest, so they decided to save him for Saturday. Good thing...these were not games with which you wanted your name associated.
Came home to watch the Phils...great until inning 5 when Joey imploded! Thought I was in today's version of baseball hell! But they rallied and came back to win. Jen, tell your Ryan that our Ryan had an outstanding evening!
YAY Rangers.......still undefeated! heck of a start!
YAY Giants.......glad that Timmy did so well and you got to see him!
And YAY Phils...way to battle back! Waiting for tomorrow and Doc's second start!
OK.....and to bed I'm away!

What a stellar performance from Mr. Lee, diane--hope you got the game on tape (DVR? ;D) so you can savor it again and again and again! Giants in AZ today...Matt Cain on the mound...here's hopin'!! (And if you all have any extra baseball karma that you're not using, send it on over, willya? We're still only 6-6!)

I didn't even see the game......had to work and it was over before I was done. Don't have a dvr, so I have had to live vicariously through clips on the internet.
I'm just glad the Phils caught up to those Rangers!! 9 and 3 is a nice place to be.
Sent up a special prayer to the baseball gods for you.......they're the guys that bless the bats, I think!

Had a funny encounter yesterday with a Yankees' fan in New York City. I was wearing my Phillies jacket in Little Italy (on Mulberry street, coincidentally). He was outside a restaurant, trying to get people to come in there and eat.....a common practice there......
He looked at my jacket, and said "Phillies, huh?" I said, "Absolutely". He said ..."Well, not sure you have good enough taste to eat here".......and in almost overlapping dialogue, I said...."You're definitely gonna have to take off that hat if you even want me to consider eating in there!"
We high fived each other (we had already eaten or I would have gone in there).....and parted friends AND foes!
