Did we miss you? Siiiiiiii It is nice to have you back! I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting for a new episode and you know it is worth all the waiting!!! You girls never stop amazing me, thank you so much for this! Of course I can’t not to mention my favourite moments/lines, so here we go: #1 The Maddie/David/Ellie sleeping scene – this is endlessly cute and I swear I reread the sentence: “Maddie and David are blissfully sleeping with little Ellie between them” at least 10 times, having a sweet picture in my head... #2 I love, love , LOVE each and every line regarding the “six week check up” issue. The banter is brilliant: David: Ten thirty? Do you want me to drive you? Back seat might be a little uncomfortable, but it's been done before. I know a great back alley just behind the doctor's office. Maddie: Where's the romance? Where's the passion? David: I got plenty of passion, Blondie. I got six weeks of passion banked. #3 David: I love you. Maddie: I love you too. --- this is so simple but I can’t get enough of this...I love to hear them saying this because I know they mean it. #4 David: You are playing with fire, Mamma. David: Hot Mamma ... Hot sexy Mamma…. Naughty Mamma who needs to be put to bed without supper or breakfast ... ---this is SO David #5 David: It's not like you are sitting at home in the cave eating bonbons while I'm out dragging down the zebra. ---- I can’t stop laughing when I read this line, this is hysterical! ;D #6 The water shuts off and David steps out. {Insert personal image of wet David here} --- thank you for this – made my morning! I love to insert those images you know #7 I loved Maddie singing while getting dressed. The girl is happy! She is SINGING! Yay! #8 I loved the picture of Maddie and Ellie on David's desk. This is a tiny detail, but an amazing one. #9 Maddie snakes her arm around David’s waist and kisses him lightly on the cheek, then again closer to his mouth and again right on the lips. David is resistant at first but easily succumbs to her attentions. ---- I love it when Miss Hayes begins to seduce Mr Addison, this is very beautifully written! #10 Maddie: We'll miss you. Miss Me barks. Maddie: I'll miss you the most. This “I miss you” exchange makes my heart melt... Thank you for this. #11 Maddie: Maybe we can slip into my office for a couple of minutes. David: A couple of minutes -- I'm crushed. I'm insulted. I'm hurt. Maddie: You're filthy and need a shower. David: Sounds like foreplay to me. Maddie: I like how you think. ---- this is Maddie and David at their best! This is amazing how they do it...that’s how we love them! Sigh I love it to know that the Hayes/Addison family is happy and this is a big pleasure and great honour to have this opportunity to live this life with them. Thank you for letting us do this! p.s. I know this episode is written by Lizzie, she is not on the board, is she? I hope you girls (Diane, Connie and Jen) will tell her how much I enjoyed her work!!!!!!!!!!

G...I'd love to thank you on Lizzie's behalf, and I agree with all of your sentiments.
We do have a forum at the VM site, and I know she would love it if you repeat your comments over there! :-)

Brilliant - just read it instead of tweeting this evening (check me out!).
Firstly, it reminded me of wonderful old film noir story-lines: I loved the ill-fated realtionship between Jinx and his gal...very stylish and totally captured my idea of real romance (have to have hurdles, dark moments...think you're going to lose them... wait- that's ML isn't it? haha).
It also made me think that if there WAS a reunion - I would imagine it like this: M and D finding each other after all their little life fiascos, realising that they couldn't stop thinking about one another *sigh*
PS Yes I did imagine David dripping on the carpet- haha you DID invite me too!
Great work ladies...you made me late serving dinner :-) - sign of a good story xxx

Well, well, well Miss Jen, you did it again! This is another piece of brilliance from you! When I read the title I almost started to jump with joy: a Valentine episode! We've been dreaming of this episode, how often we all imagined how our couple would spend this day, what they would do, what they would say. And honestly, Jen, the way you wrote it is simply the best! It is romantic, it is sweet, it is exciting, it is beautiful, it is ....Moonlighting! So believable and so in character! I'd love to name my favorite parts: The lines that made me laugh:"For Pete’s sake...whoever you are...haul your ashes in here!" " We’ll be home before the Holler-lujah Chorus starts." "I’d love to have little Ellie for the evening…she and Melanie and I can sit around painting each other’s toenails." "So, how’d you do it? Skywriting? Jumbotron at the Clippers game? Full moon at Griffith Park Observatory?" "Ellie’s just so surprised by his ridiculous faces that she forgets to cry!" "All right, that’s enough…you are headed for a nice long stretch in your crate, missy. Just wait til your father gets home!" "Yeah, the fauna ain’t no picnic either." "I don’t know, David...are you sure you’re not just doing this to get out of the house? Not that I would really blame you...along about 9:30, I’m sure I’ll be tempted myself." "Gotta be smarter than the Bjorn."The sweetest moments that took my breathe away: -Maddie in the rocking chair with Ellie in her arms --- it is written so good and with so much love, I can practically see it! wow! - The scene when David brings Maddie flowers --- he is so cute and although it didn't go exactly the way he planned - it meant a lot to Maddie, because as we all know she loves the flora to be delivered to her! -Maddie talking to Virginia on the phone --- Maddie shows so much emotions, and I just want to take her in my arms and give her a big hug. Virginia is adorable as always! - The scene when Miss Me brings a tulip to Maddie. - The scene when a courier brings a tiny teddy bear to Agnes. - The office scene when David is fighting with the Baby Bjorn -- I almost can hear Ellie laughing ;D ;D The moments when I almost fainted: -the dancing scene OF COURSE!--- No one can dance like they do *sigh* HOT - the scene when David and Maddie look their angel sleeping. And then this simple but very precious "Happy Valentine's Day" from both of them. The moments that made me yell: "oh my goodness!": - David talking on the phone at the very beginning. Boy is he serious! And he is PLANNING the date! And he has think of everything! This is so adorable, Mr Addison. And did he say 'limo'? I also liked the case and Magillicuddy was great-great too! I am happy for him, would love to attend his wedding. Jen, thank you so much for all the love, effort and time that you put into creating this episode - I really enjoyed it so much!p.s. and thank you for using the word "lush". Because it IS lush!

Goldie, A review from you is always a treat! Thanks for being so enthusiastic...it is more than a pleasure to write for readers like you--it's a privilege! As for the lines, these two are so funny...honestly, they practically write themselves sometimes. Though I was lucky enough to have some help from our dear diane when the Muse stopped flowing!! ;D It was fun to give Blue Moon a Happy V-Day!

We're all a terrific team, G.
With my VM ladies, I know that there is a strong talented team who are always there with encouragement and support. We've got each other's backs...and Maddie and David's backs too.
And I (and I am sure my fellow VM gals) cannot say enough about the wonderful people in this fandom.....actually, fandom is such an impersonal word -- what I really mean is fan family. You are some of the best people I have ever met, and I so cherish your love of Moonlighting and your appreciation of what is good and right for Maddie and David!
I wouldn't trade you all for anything! You make us hap, hap, happy!

Jen, what an impressive treat of the joys and sufferings of young parents... and who doesn't know them! Too much laundry and noise, too little sleep and privacy, but the sweet moments make up for all of that. By reading it, you can tell that there's experience speaking! By the way, I have gladly used a Baby Björn myself, and it's a really great thing - as soon as you've learned to handle it! Poor David! ;D As usual, the perfect bedtime reading on a Monday evening! Thanks!

Thanks! sandra, Thanks so much for your kind words...yes, indeedy, we have had a few (hundred) sleepless nights around here! (And from what I hear--there are a few hundred more ahead of us, when we have a houseful of teenagers! ) And David with the Bjorn (I can't get my computer to make the umlaut!)...that was an image that just cracked me up...had to share it with you all! Glad you enjoyed! Jen

Well, I'm a little late to the party here. I have been out of it for a few days. As always...I say ditto to what Goldie says!
Great job on this Jen! Another winner! So wonderful to get a Valentines episode! YIPPY!!!
David planning! How wonderful was that? Too bad it didnt work out this time. But now that they have a babysitter on the books maybe it will happen again soon.
Its so great to see David and Maddie dealing with all those same issues as we all did as new parents...the first time out...the first babysitter...the witching hours...loud noices at naptime (I can say I have once threw a ringing phone out the backdoor myself)...and that damn baby Bjorn! (A great thing, but I have to admit, I had the same issues as David with that darn Bjorn!)
Congrats go out to Magillicuddy! Hopefully this one last longer than your last. :-) (And maybe we will see some other people getting married soon...just sayin') ;-) David was such a good sport about doing all those wedding things with Magillicuddy!
A great case to boot! I dont know how you gals come up with this stuff!
Last but not least...the dance! Is there anything better than these two on a dance floor? Not in my world! SWOON!
GREAT JOB JEN!!!!
