Kim, Thanks so much for the lovely review. Your comments made my day!! It's really fun to take Maddie & David into the world of new parenthood...as you know, it can be a wild ride, but our couple is definitely up to the challenge! ;D I still ache when I think about "what could have been" on the show itself...for me, the magic of VM has always been that it kept Maddie and David moving forward--developing, maturing, growing together--but stayed true to the characters we first met on the screen. It gave us what we had always wanted to see, but in a way that incorporated nearly everything that had happened in the first five seasons--the highs and the lows, the good and the awful...for better or worse, they helped shape who Maddie and David are. I am so proud to contribute my "little all" to that tradition...and pleased beyond measure that you enjoyed it!

Hey girls- promised I wouldn't let you down. Sorry it took me a week to read it (I guess it's like I taped the show on a Tuesday night and now I got to watch it at last haha)- such a silly busy week!
Well, this was such a romantic one huh? I loved our David planning that night for the special lady...and I think it's better that they had to do it on another night (thanks to McGillicuddy) - as their love is much bigger than Valentines Day- everyday is valentines to them! :-). Loved that.
I also enjoyed all the flowery puns (bet you enjoyed thinking all of those up Jen)... and the banter was quick, snappy and in-character. What's lovely is that you maintain the humour around the sensitive/emotional scenes - so we still have the ML edge but we also get to see our couple together in those romantic moments that we'd have sold our souls to see for real.
Well done Jen and, once again, sorry I was so late reading... x

Nancy, Thanks for taking the time to review...and no apologies necessary--sometimes, real life must trump even VM! ;D
I especially loved this comment: "I loved our David planning that night for the special lady...and I think it's better that they had to do it on another night (thanks to McGillicuddy) - as their love is much bigger than Valentines Day- everyday is valentines to them! :-)."
That is so true...and so much what we hope to demonstrate!
PS. The flower puns were a very fun exercise...Diane came up with a few that are still cracking me up! ("Somebody phlox up your plans?" ;D ;D)

Ahhhh...what a happy day. Another great new episode of my favorite...Virtual Moonlighting. How could my day go wrong with that starting it out right! Always something new and exciting for our dynamic duo. You gals never fail to amaze me how you come up with new original stuff everytime. *pat yourself on the back here* I tell you, who has NOT had a day like Maddie? I think I still have days like that at least once a week! Thank God I have my own David to bail me out! (There are no doubts there were/are days if it was'nt for my better half I would surely go mad!) Believe it or not...I have a little frame that has the EXACT same saying: "clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy." Words to live by! I LOVE the bathtub scene. Favorite line: David: Ya don’t say…that little chicklet did come with some baggage, huh? Maddie smiles. Maddie: I think she has more clothes than I do.The case...what can I say. LOVED IT! I dont know how you always pull them together, but you do! And to think...they BOTH wanted to take the case. AMAZING! Actually agreeing on cases...whats next? LOL! Another favorite line: "You, me and Ellie - tequila shots till the short one passes out." LOVED that line! The big BIG question I have is...WHY was Maddie on a tabloid? Hmmmm.....Enquiring minds want to know! I love how Maddie met Sunny! Another kismit moment. The conversation over dinner was great too! Lots of favorite lines in there! David: And here’s to the beautiful chef. I didn’t know you had it in you. Maddie: A lefthanded compliment if ever I hear one. David: I do seem to have some talents with my left hand. Wanna see? Maddie: Maybe later, this food is too good to let get cold.and Maddie: Haven’t you ever met somebody and known from the first moment you saw them that it was fated…that you belonged together? A sarcastic little chuckle escapes David’s lips – she’s got him there, and they both know it. David: You don’t play fair, Hayes. Maddie smiles. And the bet...I love it when they bet! Massages ~vs~ chick flicks ("and one of them can even be in a foreign language.") Thought you had a sure thing huh David? The entire interview process with Sunny was great. Loved the interaction between the three of them. Great questions by the way! I should have known you would throw in something about not liking peas! David wasn't monkeying around when it involves his gals. Just as it should be. Sunny held her own though and that was great. Poor Davids getting out numbered in that household by women. He dont stand a chance. Maybe he should get himself a male pet...to even the odds. I love how David tells Maddie that Sunny is ok with him: David: I think you’d better get the popcorn with extra butter if I’m gonna sit through three chick flicks. The post office scene with Bert was great too. Nothing like a chase scene in a post office to make you hear Please Mr. Postman in your head. Loved the bedroom scene at the end. I beleive Connie almost gave this one away with that green eyed blonde haired baby she was talking about huh?!?! Soon as I read it I was like ahhhhhhhh haaaaaa!!!! LOL!!! Great line: David: Hey, sweet baby blue eyes, you --- He stops and looks at Maddie. David: Where did her eyes go? Maddie: What? David: Her blue eyes…they’re gone. Maddie: Yep…they’re green. Just like yours.Last but not least the acknowledgments...couldn't agree with you more! "One of the best things about Virtual Moonlighting for me, is that it gives us a chance to explore the Maddie who is happy and in love, and truly is living her life as a mother, a lover, and a friend. Don’t worry Ms. Hayes…the best is yet to come." I cant wait to see the best yet to come, and I hope it last a long long long time! Wonderful WONDERFUL job Diane and ladies!!! ;D ;D ;D About Wednesday...you know I will be making that special wish! I know you can do anything, if just given the chance. And I forgot to add...Loved the music choices. The last one when they are all in bed at the end...perfect! And who could go wrong with an Ella Fitzgerald tune? You always pick great music!

Oh, Diane...just loved this. For starters, the title made me crack up--so perfectly ML, with its clever nod to pop culture. And the opening scene...like Kim, I've been there--parenting is not pretty sometimes!! All that sleep deprivation...the mess...the stress...it can make you stiff and tense...and much more prone to tiffs with your soulmate! ;D But so great to see Maddie and David able to bicker...argue, even...without things escalating into ugliness. They have grown so much, both individually and as a couple--there's no need, anymore, to "win" at all costs. Loved the case, of course--original and funny! The re-use of the "Yours Very Deadly" set piece was hilarious (I'm still cracking up, picturing Bert in Maddie's place). I also loved Maddie's decision to hire Sunny. It's been a long road for our Blondie Blonde, learning to trust her heart, learning how (and when) to be spontaneous. If she had made a major decision like this way back when, I'm not sure I would have found it believable...changes like this take TIME (and, perhaps, the ongoing, loving influence of a certain green-eyed guy ). One of the things I most admired about VM, when I was first reading it, was that Maddie wasn't made out to be irrational or capricious or just plain "nuts." Her caution about her relationship with David was justified, given their past, and the sixth season built her confidence and rebuilt their connection, slowly and believably, so that when they finally got back together it was absolutely right. You "get" Maddie, my friend, and I have to say, your dedication moved me to happy tears. It's been a privilege working with and learning from you...Brava!!!

Dear Diane, I've finally found my way to the board again, thank goodness ;D I wanted to leave a comment yesterday, but it seems like the brilliance of the new episode made me speechless. Yeah... I was more like Ellie yesterday: I was grinning at people sweetly, rewarding them with spit bubbles you know.. ;D So.....I LOVED this episode. With all my heart. Of course I do - it is Maddie's episode, what's there not to love? I'd like to start with your acknowledgement to Maddie. If I ever wanted to write a letter to Maddie, those would be exactly the words I would say to her. I loved it so much. So simple, so genuine, so ... you I've spend an hour trying to pick the lines and scenes I loved more - then I said to myself: forget it Goldie. I loved them all! I can't chose. I was amazed how good David handled the issue at the beginning of the episode, when Miss Hayes was "a little" upset. He was so attentive, so gentle, so caring, and still our David Addison ( "Seems like only 8 hours ago that we were celebrating Ellie’s first gourmet dining experience. In fact, isn’t that some of her cereal in your hair?") This guy will never stop to surprise me! Who would have guessed? I don't like peas too! So much in common... I am not sure if I love the new nanny already, I still need to investigate, yeah I am with David on this one. And Maddie..... I loved to see her in the "fighting" mode, and I loved to see her loving and sweet during that dinner. And I loved her bath tub with bubbles. Ellie is my fave baby, I love to see her lively, energetic, full of life - that's how Addison-Hayes kid should be right? ("Maddie, she’s a human being….a unique human being made up of one part you and one part me. She’s gonna have ups and downs…just like both of us….") So true, David! The Post Office chase brought sweet memories back - I even could here the sounds of "Dear Mister Postman" while reading! The case is great, where do you get ideas for them, girls? You know what I love most about the episode? Reading it feels like really watching a new episode on TV. The most wonderful feeling! Thank you for this, Diane and the girls, you are a terrific team! p.s. count on me on Wednesday!

This is like Christmas all over again because it's terrific! Love seeing David and Maddie hash out their problems rationally and with tenderness. And I love seeing how they've grown over the years without losing their passion or sense of humor. Love the bath tub scene....David is Maddie's anchor...and he didn't even get wet! Is that sexy or what? Ugh...I have to follow you...Is this my punishment for leaking the color of Ellie's eyes? ...oops!

My dear lovely ladies,
What an absolute treat it was to log onto this thread and see all of the wonderful things you have said about my latest effort.
I have always felt that it was a privilege to write Maddie....and in spite of all her complexities, I think it comes easily. She and David are a joy to write together as a couple who have been through so much, and come out loving. Adding Ellie is icing on the cake...for me and for them.
I really hope while I am doing it, that I am doing justice to these characters, and to your expectations....so I am just floored by all your great comments and analysis....and that you take the time to post them. Thank you. I am blessed to have all of you.
Kim...yes Connie did almost let the eyes out of the bag the other night. I DM-d her and virtually stomped on her foot, Maddie style!
Just one more thing.......being part of this amazing VM team is one of the joys of my life. There is not an episode that doesn't belong to each one of us.....it is super to be so supported....Lizzie, Jen and Connie are my heroes!
Thank you again!
P.S. Thanks for your best wishes for Wednesday.....they help, honestly!

Managed to read it at last -sorry for the delay! Hey, this one had it all huh? Lots of good banter, a case, a chase - and a spoonful of romance to wash it all down with. Highly Enjoyable. Some of my favourite moments included: Bert in the chase scene instead of Maddie - that image with his head popping up like a figure-head really had me giggling! I like that Maddie found her nanny with a little help from kismet (always the best stuff in life finds you, rather than you finding IT)... and I enjoyed the case (well, obviously - as it was linked to writing!) and all of its parallels with Harry Potter. Well done Diane, I look forward to them solving cases at Blue Moon together (The Blue and The Moon) with the odd crazy baby interruptions: just how I imagined they'd be if they'd let Maddie have the baby in season 5.

Dearest Connie and the girls,I have just finished reading the new episode! I am sitting on cloud number 9 and am not planning to leave it! What a terrific job you’ve done again! Not only is our Maddie back to work but she is throwing a real punch (again!!!!), she remembers! I re-read the scene at least 5 times! ;D The chase scene is hysterical! On the one hand. On the other hand it is ...well very, VERY hot. I mean David chasing the guy having just his towel on... the mind reels. “Addison, why are you chasing our locker room attendant through my gym…in a towel?” Oh you stop this, DaVain! You have no idea! David, please do continue! Since I am a big sport lover, I loved the whole idea with the gym. Besides, we never saw Maddie and David wearing this kind of clothes. (I suppose ;D) I loved Maddie’s gym outfit! Would love to have those white Nike high-top aerobic shoes with a bright pink swoosh. Maybe I will go and steal them huh? Then David will chase me? Little Bunny is adorable. I am happy to know she and her sweet nanny are getting along well, they have fun. She makes me smile every time she kicks her tiny legs. She is a Sunshine our Ellie. David. David is... How did Maddie say it? Oh yes, “He’s really been terrific.” I do agree with Miss Hayes! I love to see him in love with his Maddie, the way he looks at her, touches her, takes care of her – it is so him! His “I am so proud of you” speech brought tears to my eyes. Chemistry. I want Glenn Caron to read each and every episode of the VM. So that he knows that even being together our couple is still hot and the chemistry is amazing! David: Old man? He pulls her close and whispers in her ear. David: I’ll show you different… Maddie: Be nice and I’ll give you a back massage later.See? AMAZING!! So....did she give him that massage? We want to know!!! Thank you Connie and the whole VM crew for Moonlighting! Wish I could hug you girls! p.s. and I loved the case, and the music too, and the commercials! And...and...and... AND the DIP YOUR BISCUIT line!
