Was curious as to whether the shortcomings of the non-region 1 Season 1/2 set had been rectified with this complete collection.
The Season 1/2 set in region 2/4 didn't feature the pilot(!) and the commentaries.
Anyone bought it?

I have the UK box set and did have the US set as well. Apart from the artwork on the US ones being nicer I think they are much the same

I've had the UK box set since January 2010. Prior to this, I only saw compilation sets, which didn't interest me, but I saw the complete set when I wasn't expecting it, bought it straight away without any hesitation, and I have rarely stopped watching it since (just the occasional break); I will never tire of it. It's a great set, vibrant picture, great sound, some nice extras. The only complaint I have is that some of the commentaries are missing, which I didn't know until I came here. But having the show as I always knew it - and we go back to the beginning in 1986 - is the only thing that really matters, and every episode is present and correct.
In the UK, Moonlighting began a year after the US and some of the episodes were shown out of sequence. Not only that, but seasons 1 and 2 were shown as one long season over a generous five-month stretch, with several episodes from the latter part of season 2 held back and inserted incongruously into season 3. Season 3 began with The Son Also Rises, before three episodes were shown from season 2, including Every Father's Daughter and Witness, which were darker, more dramatic episodes. I remember seeing David and Maddie looking noticeably different in TSAR before suddenly looking like their more familiar season 1 & 2 selves, which was confusing when you didn't know that these were old episodes, as I didn't. We didn't even see the first Christmas episode until it was two years old... I thought I'd have trouble with calling them 'seasons', as they're called 'series' in the UK. I suppose having the complete M*A*S*H set and the early seasons of Happy Days helps.
