Ooh wow, my ideal dinner party would include: 1. Stephen Fry - fabulously intelligent, funny and interesting and a lovely chap to boot. 2. My friend William - he is just a great dinner party guest, and seems to be able to talk to anyone! 3. Cybill Shepherd - I bet she could tell you some great stories! 4. Bruce Willis - but of course! ;D 5. Gene Kelly - I love love love this man and his films. Best smile ever and wonderful human being and dancer. I have assumed that both me and my husband are going to this party anyway, as I can't not invite him!! ;D

Mulberry is the second person to mention Stephen Fry, and I've gotta say, he is a gem! Most of my exposure to him is from Bones, and from his twitter feed, but I would sure like to know more.
And of course your husband is invited, Mul. His name wouldn't be Ken, would it?

There is SO much to discover with Stephen Fry - I first knew about him from his comedy with Hugh Laurie in the 1980s and 90s, but he is also known for various roles in Blackadder and in Jeeves and Wooster. I would also recommend his books too. He is a bit of a national treasure in the UK, fabulously intelligent and funny and seems to know so much about so many things. Oh and did I mention that I met him last year at a book signing!! I was so overcome, I just blurted out my name and said thank you.. Who is Ken, Diane!!?

it seems to be a fortunate happenstance that many of our ML girls have husbands named Ken! LOL

Kind of off topic here...sorry....but in response to missingmymoonlight's wish for Mark Twain..... I feel as though I've met the man in person. My family went to see Hal Holbrook portray Twain. I will admit, my husband has read more of his works than I have and has read some of his stories to our girls when they were growing up, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can I come to dinner, missingmymoonlight?
