Hello everyone! I don’t watch monochromatic films these days, but this episode is different because of its luxurious photography and of course Maddie and David are sparkling! I have watched this one over and over again before, so I decided to just enjoy it this time. I enjoyed the battle of sexes in the car. He is clearly enjoying making fool of her, poor Maddie! But he loves you, “the sexiest sexist”! ;D I also love how those two bad guys are embodied in the both dreams. They are extremely cold and cruel but amazingly attractive. No wonder they are dragged into the murder in the dreams. But I think this is all illusion caused by the murder case they heard in the Flamingo Club and the argument. However I felt that the word “fate” or “destiny” sounded strong in this episode.

Hey Marple!
Thanks for starting it off. :-) This is one of my favourite episodes ever. I am a real fan of old black and white movies in the first place, and this episode is such a well made homage to them. Everything about it is confident and well done, especially the look and feel, not to mention a sparkling script and great acting.

This is one of my favorite episodes. It's very well made and they both looked so hot.
What's funny to me is in David's dream, the husband was portrayed as mean and abusive. This fact made the crime less reprehensible and Maddie and him less culpable. It made it seem like the husband got what he deserved. The woman (in this case, Maddie) needed rescuing and David had to do what he had to do.
I just interpret this as David always thinking the best of Maddie, and that he's always there for her. Just my humble opinion... ;D

I am SOOO behind. What a great episode! They both are so gorgeous. Maddie is just beautiful in black and white. Marple, I love the sexiest sexist line too ;D I love it when they argue! This one has it all, romance, sex, musical numbers, banter, comedy. One of the best episodes of television ever. I always thought their dreams sort of showed their fears of being hurt by the other. Love everyone's comments. Hopefully I'll catch up.
