Hello 'essed ones! This is the first thread I have started. I joined you all for the first time back on March 19th - a good date to join I thought! Life's not been too good since then. My father had a stroke and my mother passed away all in the last two weeks. Moonlighting has got me through it all. An episode a night has provided great comfort! Obviously I stayed away from the last four episodes of season five! My obsession is such that last night I had a moonlighting dream (surprised it hasn't happened before!) I dreamt that I met Bruce and Cybill in my local health club (my mind is in a strange place right now!) and they offered me the chance to ask them ANYTHING I wanted about their moonlighting lives!! Can you imagine? A private interview! So, not wanting to out stay my welcome I put three questions to them. 1) Do they think either of them has played a better or more enjoyable character since? 2) If they had been writing that final season, how would they have ended it? 3) If they HAD completed what they started privately "that" night, how do they think that would have changed them and their characters? (Cybill says in the "Memories of Moonlighting" dvd extra that she felt if they personally had "done the horizontal" it would have changed everything. Then, can you believe it I woke up before I got any of the answers!! So I am turning to my new Moonlighting friends to tell me a) how YOU all think they would have answered each question and b) what three questions would you ask them?! Hope some of you are around. We need to get everyone back on the discussion boards! Thank God for Moonlighting - even after all these years, it's still the best!

Ahhh Sarah....So sorry to hear about your loss of your Mom and the health problems of your Dad. Glad you had Moonlighting to turn to cheer you up a bit. :-)
This is a great thread you started! I am going to take the night to think of my answer and post tomorrow.
We are still around...and I agree with you! We do need to get everyone back on the discussion boards! We have been slacking big time!

Hi FFGG! Bless you, it's great to have a Moonlighting family! Even though I only joined in March, I have been reading everyone's posts for months and it's amazing how you can get to know people over a common interest! Isn't it a shame we can't all meet up and have a REALLY obsessed time!! I look forward to reading your questions and answers for B and C!

Ok...here we go!!! 1. Do they think either of them has played a better or more enjoyable character since. I am sure both of them think so. I however...don't. :-) Maddie and David will always be the best in my opinion. :-) 2. If they had been writing that final season, how would they have ended it? I certainly hope and pray it would have been different. I know for sure Cybill didn't want Maddie to marry Walter. That move in and of itself was pivotal in my opinion. I would like to think that if either one of them had written the final episode they would have gotten Maddie and David together to make the audience happy. 3. If they HAD completed what they started privately "that" night, how do they think that would have changed them and their characters?I believe they would say that if they HAD don't "that" it would have changed the show. It would have taken away their chemistry, and I would have to say I would agree. Now...what would I ask them? Hmmmm? 1. If the writers hadn't had gone on strike do you think that would have changed the outcome of the season and how? 2. How would have you changed season 4 & 5? What would you have done differently? 3. Looking back now, do you wish you would have been able to do Moonlighting longer? Enjoyed the "fame" of it more? Ok...that's what I got folks. Who's next? Step up Moonie Pies!

Hi FFGG. Good thoughts. I agree that David and Maddie will always be Bruce and Cybill's greatest characters - at least to all of us! I think it's because although they have certainly both used their considerable acting skills to great effect in other projects, they got to play such a huge range of emotions and situations within one character over the five years and I guess none of their other characters (with the exception of John McClane of course!) have had that longevity or length of time to explore the character so fully. Regarding how the show might have finished if they, or some more sensible writers had been in charge, I have just remembered reading an interview somewhere with Cybill where she says she thinks Maddie and David should have ended up 'together' but living in houses next door to each other! What a great idea - that could save many a marriage I should think! I like your three questions. I'm sure we're not the only people who can think up questions we'd like to ask them - so come on folks, join in!!

Aw Sarah from Sussex - you have had a really bad time. I'm so sorry!!! I hope you are ok!! thanks for this thread. I will attempt to answer it. 1. They have NEVER played a better role since and never will. I don't like Bruce in anything else (gasps of horror from the other Moonies but tis true and deep down they agree with me 2. I think they would have finished it like the end of Season 3 finished - which was with a smile. Definitely NOT married. It would not be the same if they were. They need the arguments and Maddie needs to loathe David and vice versa as well as love him. #IHateYou 3. I don't believe a word Cybil says i'm afraid. She is always harping on about how they 'nearly' got together and how Bruce is a rubbish kisser. She should shut up and be more professional (gasps again from my Moonies) Nothing happened and a good job. She can come across as #Nuts in real life. Now for Kim's questions: 1. No because the problem wasn't the writers (although it didn't help) the problem was with Bruce and Cyb and Glen. 2. Pffffft where shall I start? The Walter ridiculousness would NEVER have happened. Cyb would not be allowed to get preggers and NO silly action man movies for Brucie Babes. He is a pure comedy genius and that is what he should have stuck to. #SnapSays 3. I have just realised that these are questions that you want to ask Bruce and Cyb and I have answered them for me. sorry about that. Now what would I want to know. 1. Tell me some funny stories that happened on set 2. Can you find me some more bloopers please? Thanks. 3. What REALLY happened to make Glen leave? (I'd just get right on in there) Soooo come on all you others. Snappy is waiting. xx AND SARAH!! Some of us have got together in NYC last year and in LA this Easter for Moonie fun. It was great to meet them all. They just love my accent as I am sure they would yours xx

Hi Snappy Thank you for your kind thoughts. Dad and I are slowly coming out of the tunnel after the last month or so. Sadly he doesn't have my ML obsession but is obsessed with classic Hollywood movies so we both have our own escapism! So good to hear some of the 'David and Maddie' gang have actually met up in person, I bet that was great great! Hope I can join the next get together. Maybe us two Brit Sarah/Saras should round up the essed ones from this side of the pond sometime! Enjoyed reading your comments on mine and Kim's questions for B and C and of course yours which were great. I think ALL ML fans would like to find the cutting room floor where all the out takes are! Bloopers and funny stories would be great things to have. I'm sure however bad things got there was still some real affection on that set. I could indeed hear some other moonies gasping at some of your comments! I actually DO quite like Bruce in some other roles, but I think, like many of us, I am guilty of trying to find David Addison in everything he does and I guess the fact that we can't just proves what a good actor he really is! Still, DA was and is an unbeatably attractive character and performance though! Must stop rambling now and let some others get on here with some questions for our favourite duo! Come on people! We know you're out there!
