Just wanted to say Hello to everyone before I start "my journey" through this forum. I'm so happy I found this page. I don't think there is any other TV show that would need forum as badly as "Moonlighting". It"s great that there is a place where I can write out my fascination about "Moonlighting" as well as my frustration about the way it ended...

Thanks Everybody for such a warm welcome, I thought that maybe I could start my reading from the beginning (the pilot) and finish at the end (Lunar Eclipse) but I still ended up reading about season 5, first. You are right Sarahfromsussex, season 5 hit me like a disease (same as season 4 actually…hmm…to be honest I’m not all that crazy about some episodes of season 3 either). When, not so long ago, I found Moonlighting on Youtube I decided to watch it but not because I wanted to refresh my memories about the show…in fact I didn’t have any. I did remember watching it as a child (back in my country) but didn’t remember a single episode- except maybe something about Atomic Shakespeare. I decided to watch it for two- rather banal-reasons: first, because I love everything that has to do with the 80s and second-to borrow a phrase from David- because it’s there…Who would’ve thought that Moonlighting will open up a volcano-Etna size-of contrary emotions in me: joy, happiness, hope, anger, sadness, fury, hopelessness and major disappointment… Who would’ve thought that a show that made me laugh so hard at the beginning, will leave me with a sour-bitter expression on my face at the end. Seasons 1&2 gave me hope-I wanted Maddie and David as a couple so badly. The end of season 3 slowly took that hope away from me. In season 4 my hope was almost taken and in season 5 it was completely gone. I felt disappointment before (when Dylan left Brenda for Kelly, when Ross and Rachel broke up and I had to wait till the last episode to see them together again) but this… I have never felt more disappointed that two, main characters didn’t end up together. It felt like a slap in my face…I even cried I don't know if it's possible but I love Moonlighting and hate it at the same time... Well, I’m off to read more “cure”…I need it. Sarahfromsussex, you’re right again, it helps to read other members’ comments. It's nice to know that so many people feel the same way about the ending as I do...
