I was pretty surprised to find out what David's apartment looked like...and that it had no furniture.
There were no prior episodes of him in his apartment, and with furniture?
It just seemed unexpected.
Anyways, although I think it was improbable that he would have no furniture, as he looks like someone that would have a TV and a couch AT LEAST in the living room, I thought it fit his character in a lot of ways.
That said, I think they should have saved that for the last episode.
It would be funny to find out that ALL this time he had no furniture. In some ways, very meta and 4th wall breaking. It's like the producers are admitting without admitting, that they never furnished David's apartment because they didn't need to since no one saw it before. But by showing that when ML was at it's peak, it seemed kind of stupid. Like David is going to drive a Porsche, have a nice fancy furnished office, dress very fashionably...but not even have a couch and TV in the living room. No. And they had to keep up with that in later episodes when Maddie complained about him not even having furniture. It worked for her complaints as to why she didn't want to commit to him, but again, the IDEA itself of him having no furniture became more ridiculous. A one type reveal/joke, fantastic. A recurring theme, dumb.
I'm probably the only one that feels this way, and even more so since I feel like I'm running around in an empty house at this forum.
