I know GGC was a producer on Remington Steele, so it's not unexpected that one or two plot points from that show might creep into ML, but this ep was almost a carbon copy of In The Steele Of The Night. The only real difference is that ep took place on an island and Next Stop Murder obviously is on a train. Not that it's a bad thing - both eps were very well done, but DANG. Some of the dialogue was lifted word for word. Seems a little lazy.

First of all: welcome to the board!
Second of all: I've never watched Remington Steele (Gasp! Such a bad fan!), but I will definitely look into it now that you've mentioned this. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the heads up! Thank you! I just found this board and I'm a huge ML fan so I'm loving catching up And I just realized the ep I meant is called In The Steele Of The Night from Season One.

Welcome to the board, cwgirlup. It's always nice to meet new Moonlighting fans. Are you actually a new fan or did you watch it back in the day? I'm guessing you watched it when it originally aired if you're familiar with Remington Steele. I remember that show being on, but I was never a viewer.

I watched it back in the day and I have the DVD sets. I was 10 when ML started and I wanted to be like Maddie so bad! To my 10 year old mind, she was beautiful and smart and oh so glamorous.
