So what is the verdict?? Do we like Richie or not? Did Maddie really like Richie or not?
Is David very much like Richie or not?

Yes,I think David likes his brother. Once,I saw on the episode:"Those Lipes,Those Lies,he says to Maddie:"I like my brother as a brother."

I like Ritchie, and yes, I do think he's like David. He's just a geekier version. He doesn't have the street cred that David does. But I think he wants to be like David.
I don't think Maddie really liked Ritchie, not to go out with seriously anyway. She was probably attracted to him because he's a lot like David, but mostly she was probably just trying to make Dave jealous. She's obviously getting bored of him when they're at her house playing that board game, just before David arrives.
But I think Ritchie's a great character, he's funny in a goofy way. And Charles Rocket does a great job playing him.

I liked Richie mainly because he reminded me of my relationship with my older brother. I've always felt like I had to prove something to him and I see that with Richie. He means well with his "get-rich-quick-schemes," but he ultimately hurts himself.
Is he like David? No, but he sure wants to be.
Does Maddie like him? Yes, I think she really did. I think really she was confused by her relationship with David... was it business or was something reall there? David did not want to own his feelings for her because he was just as confused as Maddie. The heart is telling them one thing, but the brain blocked any emotional thinking in both of them. I don't think Maddie loved Richie, though.
What was the question? No, just kidding. You ought to set this up as a poll, like your "Rate this episode."

I love the character of Richie, there's always a sense that he wants to be more like David and he's constantly trying to get his brother's approval. He's very loveable, if a bit of a dork!
I think Maddie found Richie attractive only when she thought he was a richer version of David. She was initially impressed by his nice suit, hotel, restaurant... Then she realised that he wasn't David! And he wasn't rich...

Richie Addison to me is like a clever con man. He is charming and funny but I don't trust him. He doesn't seem to have a steady job or a good work ethic either.
Maddie I think was charmed at first by him but as she got to know him and saw the differences between him and David, she didn't think he was as charming as she first did.

I like Richie, but he's not the kind of guy you'd want to date.
I always thought Maddie went out with him to get a rise out of David. Maybe not even consciously, but I doubt she had any serious interest in him beyond his relationship to David.

So if you think Maddie went out with Richie to make David jeolous, then doesn't that mean Maddie was interested in David enough to try to make him jeolous? Do you think Maddie was as wild about David as he appeared to be about her?

I think she was attracted to David, yes, but I'm not sure if it was on the level of his attraction for her. I think she needed a few more episodes to get to know him better to really fall for him-- Maddie's a thinker. The second season really gives us (and Maddie) a lot of good insights into his character, building to the romance of season 3. As far as this ep goes though, I think she more than likely was just looking for some kind of a reaction from David-- hence, her disappointment at his perceived "invulnerability".

It's quite a cute scene when she comes into his office after their night out. She obviously wants to know if he's jealous or not. And then he gives her the money she hugs him and he says 'hey, I'm not completely invunerable, you know'. Cute.
I've always wondered what Maddie and Ritchie might be talking about while they're dancing. And who is Maddie on the phone to in the bar while David and Ritchie are oogling her? Doesn't she only ever talk to David and her mother on the phone?!

I personally like Richard. He's adorable I think David loves his brother and he loves him but brothers rival often about...everything especially about beautiful woman ;P It's normal. Does Maddie like him? Yes. But only like nothing more

I've watched this episode many times, and I had an awful thought. Were we supposed to think that Maddie, well, um, slept with Ritchie? Or got pretty darn close? Upsets me to think so especially how long for our heroes to even share a kiss! The only reason I wonder is because of the unusual spring in her step the next morning. I really don't think she did, but I guess it is a valid question.
My personal opinion is the reason Maddie hit it off so quickly with Ritchie is because he was so like David that is was like getting to be with David without actually *being* with David, know what I mean? But, like Gem said earlier, I think Maddie was quickly tiring of Ritchie.

I loved Richie! He could be funnier than David at times and he gave us some insight into David's background and family. Addison, Sr. in Season 3 with "Son Also Rises" did that somewhat as well.
Maddie and Richie getting it on??? I don't think Maddie would have let that happen at this point and I think her pep in her step as mentioned earlier was because she had a "fun" night and not so much of a "fine" night.
Who wouldn't have fun with TWO Addison's!!! ;D

Maddie and Richie getting horizonty? I don't think so. Remember - she doesn't give herself to just anyone. I think the spring in her step comes from the fact that she had fun - and we all know that she doesn't get out very much! I think she also was eager to see David and get his reaction.

I really, really don't think (or want to think) that Maddie and Richie got horizonty. But I do think that Richie got closer than Davey did at that point! But you're right, she just doesn't give herself to just anyone, and there was no possible mention of it when David goes through her list of six that she "got intimate" with, in that season 5 episode conversation.
Ugh, just some random thought that went through my head, I guess.
