Here is what should have happened at the end of the episode: when they waved goodbye they should have just stopped what they were doing grabbed the other one, kissed them and jumped into the nearest car together. That would have ended the second season very nicely.

Yes this was one of the many moments where you were watching just hoping that they would hug/kiss/get together in some way and then they go off in different directions. Hugely frustrating but then again that's why you want to keep on watching! What I would have liked would have been to have the two cars go in opposite directions, then you hear a squeal of brakes and the next thing you see is David's car racing after Maddie's. For me that would have been them together but leaving it to the viewer's imaginations as to what happened between them. And God knows, we've got great imaginations...

I just finished watching all of Moonlighting Season 2. There's no more. All I have left is the Part 2 of the making-of. It's going to be so hard to not have an episode to sit down and watch from now on. Anybody have a copy of the other seasons on tape that can make me a copy? I'd be glad to send money!

Well...maybe it would have been perfect if they kissed in the final scene. But hey, I guess they grew on each other step by step, so to speak, and that's why it seemed/was so deep or intense. I mean, if they held back something for so long and still weren't able to do so in the end...it was part of the magic...I'm not even sure of what I'm trying to express here...lolol...From my perspective they analised each other on a daily basis and through issues they had to overcome together and I guess that final-waving moment was a kind of «Hey, I've enjoyed being with you...not sure of in what way...but I think I'll find out while thinking about it in your absence»...

It wouldn't be so interesting if they kissed in the first episode Now we watch every episode hoping they will end up together. Well, I really dislike this episode. I quite hate when they talk to camera and director. And this ending.. argh.. Only funny moment was when Maddie saw Camille in the same clothes as she was I think the best ending would be next: David and Maddie waved each other and went to their cars. In next scene cars are going to oposite direction, and then you just hear squeal of brakes and episode is done. Everything else is up to our imagination

That would have ended the second season very nicely. Disagree - I think it was full of pent up emotion. It was clever because they were reading the audience's minds- they, M & D, knew that what they were referring to when they said it would wait until season 3 (a kiss) and it was kind of like a promise that we would be rewarded for waiting---good things will come to those who wait: I give you 'The Big Bang' delivered to your screen. This was just more foreplay with us. I liked the ending- it assumed we had intelligence.

It was like: "you and I both know it's gonna happen sooner or later. You just have to be patient."

A personal note: within a group of friends is a guy I'm attracted to, and when we all attended an event together recently, I hugged every single person...except him. Sometimes what you don't do can speak as loud as what you do...do.
