Now I have to tell you something!!!!!!!!!!!!
My parents don`t even know moonlighting (or "Das Model und der Schnueffler in german). I remembered it, although I was only 8 or so at this time and I can remember that I loved watching it (don`t know how I get my mom to let me watch it) and they don`t remember at all. Shocking!!!!!`

Parents!!!!!! One of the best series in the world. I`m also a fan of Gilmoregirls and 7th heaven too, but moonlighting is something spesiell. Til next summer I am working in Norway, but when I come back I will "force" my best friend at home, watching every single episode with me (I already warned her), but I`m sure she will like it. she didn`t hear of ML either, but her boyfriend knows and likes it. Yieppieh. And till then the 3rd season is also already released.

When ML was aired in Germany I think I was about 15 or so and I loved it!!! The chemistry between David and Maddie, the fun talking, the music, breaking the 4th wall etc. I used to tape every single episode that time. But watching the original version on DVD is much better. And I still love watching it now at the age of 30. My hobbies besides ML are: sports (watching especially ice hockey and basketball, going skiing), movies, travelling, photography. My parents thought I was crazy when I first watched ML b/c when the show was on nobody was allowed to disturb. I just loved Bruce Willis in ML. I even convinced my parents once to drive to Idar-Oberstein with me b/c I wanted to see where he was born (its embarassing I know but I was only 15 by then...). If I see them on Xmas and tell them I bought the DVDs they will for sure be reminded of their foolish teenage daughter back in the old times... :-)

Did you live far away from Idar Oberstein, when you convinced your parents to drive there? I think thats a cute story, as I was just as crazy as you where. ;-)))

Hi willisfan,
we kind of were in the area of Idar-Oberstein for holiday reasons. It was maybe 200 km to drive from where we stayed. Normally I live in the South of Germany so it would have been seeral 100 kms. My sister came home for Xmas too, I told her about my ML DVD and she immediately started watching although she is more obessed with "The O.C." at the moment.

Mlbestshowever, that`s a pity, that you didn`t see the house. But still, it must be quite a strange feeling, seeing Bruces birthplace. Is Idar-Oberstein a large or small town?
Queensgirl, thanks for your answer. I feel a little stupid now, that I didn`t hear of this serie before! :-(((

Willisfan, you asked about Idar-Oberstein. Its not that big, it has around 30000-35000 people living there in total. But too big to just find the house where Bruce just to live the first 2 years of his life.

Hi! I study Business Economics at the university so there really isn´t time enough to do anything else than go to school and watch Moonlighting. But if there is, I like to watch Friends (on tv), or talk to friends (not the ones on tv) on the phone... I´m also trying to guide my 14-year-old sister through life, since I have 10 years more experience of living than her. Of course I got her hooked on Moonlighting as well.
