Just some fluff I thought I'd share... Heard a radio commercial today for Fox's American Idol, followed by one for a fairly new show called "Bones" -forensic anthropologist twist on the CSI genre. Anyhoo...the commercial for Bones said something that caught my attention. "It's a sleuth show with a duo not seen since Moonlighting." So, of course, that caught my attention. Might have to check it out, and see if it lives up to the standard. Ha! For those in the states - it's on Wednesday night after American Idol.

David Boreanaz, who stars in Bones, has often said he's a huge fan of ML and makes reference to it as the classic example of tension and competition between characters. Go to TV.com and do a search for his name. You'll come up with a few articles that mention this fact.

I thought that's what I heard them say! How cool, though I can't imagine it could be as good as ML.

I was just going to say that i read interviews also with David Boreanaz when the show Bones first premiered that he mentioned he loved Moonlighting and thought the main characters were like Maddie and David with the sexual tension and all. I have watched the show Bones because i used to be a huge Buffy/Angel fan. The show is pretty good but not even close to Moonlighting and it has been on a haiatis for weeks now and i really didn't see any major chemistry myself when i last saw it so i will tune in to see if that's changed yet. When i see chemistry it should be automatic like with Bruce and Cybill. David B did have that kind of chemistry with Sarah Michelle Gellar(Buffy) though.

I watched it because it's based on the Kathy Reichs novels, of which I'm a big fan. I did read David B. comparing it to ML, but it's really not quite the same. They do have some good banter in the show though. At first I was disappointed with the series because it's very different to the books, but it's growing on me now that I've stopped comparing them.

That's really cool. I wanna hear it.
Speaking of cool ML things like that...I was listening to the 80's on 8, on XM Satellite radio, in the car the other day, and I nearly swirved off the road. All of a sudden, the voice guy goes, "the 80's on 8 remembers Maddie and David" and then it proceeds to go into several clips of them bantering. It even had Maddie and David come across the display panel. I was so excited and thought maybe the theme would follow, but alas, it wasn't so. It made me smile though!

Hi Raul, Thanks. How much better still it would have been with another ML fan in the car. Wait, that could have been very dangerous actually. Oh, I've gotten my brother's girlfriend talking about mL now. The other night she was all excited because she heard the commercial for bones and had to make sure I knew about it. Ahh, the little things. 8 days Kara

Ah, the good 'ol 80's. Yeah, when I hear songs that were in the show, I can't help but picture the scenes in my head, and just grin. ;D And that's very cool that they're making references to them on the radio stations. Wish I had XM. BTW, I finally watched Bones. Definately not the next version of Maddie and David. It's just not there. They have chemistry, but it's nowhere near M&D. I came away thinking it was a good show - definately watchable. But too much like CSI/NCIS. All the cool camera angles, the quickcut edit style etc. Been there..done that. But well written, and fun. Thumbs up

For the longest time I couldn't help but think of "Nowhere to Run" whenever I went bowling. Still really can't...
