Thought i would start a post so people can put down their overall thoughts on the dvds such as packageing, the Moonlighting Memories interview, or whatever else. Hope this is ok!

Ok i want to say i love the inside cover pic of Maddie and David kissing in the moon but wish it was a clearer picture! The interview was great but too short! I wanted more! Cybill looked beautiful! The hug at the end was the best!

Looks nice! A bit streamlined, but then again, so was the first set. You're right, the inner flap picture could have been a little more distinct--the blue and silver setting make it almost blend together.
I'm surprised they went with pretty much the same plot blurbs for the inlay booklet as have long existed elsewhere. I was almost hoping they'd have written new ones. Well, that's a bit silly of me. All's well that ends well. And this definitely ends well.
What I'm wondering is, and I've said it before but I'll say it again, why do the back cover snapshots have, with I think one exception, nothing to do with the actual season at hand? I think only the one on the far left is from one of these episodes. Correct me if I'm wrong. They're cool and all, but other than that left corner shot, they're not Season 3 as far as I can tell.
But who cares? I've got t.v. to watch! Commentaries, here I come...
;D

I watched the memoirs, even though I haven't seen any of the episodes, so there were some spoilers, quite a few actually!
So, if anyone hasn't seen Season 3 and doesn't want to see spoilers, then don't watch the Memoirs on disc 4!!!!
I haven't gone through all the discs yet, but anyone know how many commentaries there are, and with who?

There are only 4 commentaries:The Straight Poop with fan commentary, Sam and Dave with Mark Harmon and i think Jay Daniel , Atomic Shakesphere with Glenn, Jay, Bruce and Cybill, which is so good btw! Darn i forgot the last one.

I'm loving the DVD, make no mistake about it. LOVE them. But I do notice that the video seems a little . . . soft sometimes? Is it just my imagination? It seemed like Season One/Two had a scary-sharp picture, but the video in Season 3 DVDs isn't always so sharp. Not bad—I'd say they're within acceptable levels, but not the same sharpness that I was accustomed to previously. Oh, another thing—there are some definite funky clips in "It's a Wonderful Job." There's this one small snippet where Maddie is coming out of an elevator with the Guardian Angel guy, and all of a sudden the video quality is really bad—very fuzzy and strange. The shot is just for a few seconds, and then in the next shot the video quality returns back to normal. It might not look too drastically bad if you're watching it on a TV and from a distance, but I saw it on a LCD computer monitor, and boy! Can you notice it. (I think it would be noticeable regardless, but perhaps a little less so on a TV.) Did they have to scrounge around to "restore" this episode? What is the story there? I haven't seen all the episodes yet, but do any other episodes have issues like this? Also (forgive me if someone else has already griped about this and I've missed it), THEY FLOPPED THE PICTURE ON THE COVER ART!! This is wholly unacceptable. Bruce Willis has an asymmetrical face and he does not look right when he's flopped. Cybill looks okay either way, but not him. Furthermore, they picked an odd picture of him—it doesn't look all that much like him. Enlarged cover detail: Fixed so that Willis is "right" again, and not flopped: Another picture of Willis, showing his lopsided smile (which, as you can see from the DVD cover, is on the wrong side, because they flopped it!). It's a small thing, to be sure. But it really bugs me. Why did they do that? Don't they know that Willis's signature smirk is going to look mighty funky when it's backwards? Are these people blind?!?Argh! Well, enough of that rant. Suffice it to say that, despite the flopped image on the cover, I am most delighted to have these DVDs, and am eagerly plowing through them.

Are you ever lucky! While I'll always be glad I was able to see it the first time around, it's true, you are in for a special treat. Oh, to have that opportunity again, of being a new fan--what a feeling that was 20 years ago. Yes, watch them in order, that probably is the best way to get the full impact of the planned storyline. Buy some new socks because the ones you are wearing are history. ;D

Just finished watching the Memories show...wasn't that thrilled with it. I mean it was great to see everyone. But we didn't get a reunion shot with Bruce and Cybill. They just sit there for almost 5 minutes before they really say anything. It should have been longer than 1/2 hr. We could of had more of C&B actually talking about their experiences instead of sitting there listening to Glenn babble about everything. Not that all of the show info. wasn't very interesting - I love that stuff, but wanted more C&B. And yeah, Mark Harmon was interviewed. Woohoo!! Onto the commentaries....

I agree that the Memoirs could've been better. There wasn't enough Bruce and Cybill. I mean, come on! Those are the stars. That's who we want!

Elvira, I did notice that elevator scene in It's a Wonderful Job where the picture gets very fuzzy for a few seconds, then goes back to normal. There were a couple scenes that were not on my tapes at all. The scene with David and Cheryl Tiegs dancing, and Maddie and Albert dancing. Then the next scene in the elavator where Maddie's asking what David and Richie meant about what happened to her. I noticed some other scenes were longer as well. Very happy to see the ep. in full ;D About the DVD's in general, I'm thrilled! Would loved to have had more commentaries with Bruce and Cybill but am pleased with the one from Shakespeare. Very enjoyable. And I loved the Memories of ML. Like everyone else I wish there had been more of Bruce and Cybill though.

We have captions! ;D It's not the same as subtitles, but it is awfully nice to see the close captions available. You activate them via your t.v.'s remote or menu. My hearing sometimes takes a 'coffee break,' especially with rapid-fire dialogue, and heaven knows there's enough of that here. It didn't quite resolve the one question of a line I wanted to know , but then, we have other sources who have addressed the issue, so I'm all right. I'm going to the Lions Gate site and put up a thank-you note. The new DVD set is just wonderful. ;D
