I thought I'd continue the episode ratings of each episode, just because it's one of my favorite parts of this forum. Hope no one minds it

I don't mind. I did like this episode, but it's not my favorite. Hmm, maybe a 7.5. What about you? I don't know maybe it deserves higher. There are some really great moments in this one

I gave it an 8 b/c I really liked this episode, there are some great moments in it: the La bamba singing, the reception David and Maddie go together and the dancing scene at the end between the two.

An 8 on it. As here we see Sir. David Addison,Dave's father, from the first time, and then,we never see it again. But it's a good one too,so,I like it.

I gave it a 9. It really deserves it. I love the return of David, and the 'I missed you' by Maddie. Very sweet.

Well 'I missed you' is great moment. And I love when Maddie was knocking (it was more like hitting, punching and kicking) on bathroom door and that sentence "David Addison, let me insideeeeee" and when she fall down

It's a nice season start episode, but it feels like something has changed between them "in the air". Not only on their screen presence, but outside of it as well. Maybe tension was starting to take off from that point on.
A 7.

I gave this the highest rating - 10 - for all the reasons mentioned above plus:
~The expression on Maddie’s face when she awakens in the morning was sweet. She looks happy about going back to work because she’ll see David again.
~Maddie looking fabulous in the blue dress she wore for the pre-wedding party (Can’t call it a bridal shower, right?)
~David being robbed completely of his usual ‘devil-may-careness’ when Maddie caught him in a blatant lie and he learned his Dad was waiting in his office. Is it just me or is David crazy-attractive when he’s serious? I was completely charmed by his momentary speechlessness and awkwardness with his father. (Kudos to Paul Sorvino. Would have liked an encore appearance of him as David Sr.)
~Richie Addison! No further explanation needed!
~David and Maddie seemed as much a couple in this episode as they ever would in five seasons. The edges are softened and they are very much 'into' one another during each turn of events. To me they were like husband and wife and I loved it! (Frontier, you saw tension but I saw a relaxation of tension – but then again they hadn’t seen each other for a couple weeks and, sure enough, in the next episode the edge is back and it’s sharp.)
~They were dancing to Anita Baker’s “Sweet Love,” one of my favorite songs. It was a nice dreamy ending to a great episode. When I first saw it I was like – Yes! Moonlighting is back and it’s stronger than ever! I was so happy the new season had started.

IMO, David show more depth to his character in this episode than we have seen so far. And Bruce is just great-great in delivering!
The bathroom scene leaves me feeling the way Maddie looks as she listens to David and his father. And pay attention to David's face when he is listening to Stephanie during their little meeting at the church. Talk about silence conveying a thousand words and feelings!! Bruce does this again many times throughout the rest of the show and it is just incredible.....goose bumps and all!!
"Maddie, the man is my father."
I am like some of you, really would have been great to see into David's relationship with his parent's a little more. It explained a lot when we met Maddie's the first time, didn't it?!?!
