Oh, it's a scorcher all right. Not only do they dream about kissing each other, but it's far more than just a little smooch goodbye: they both rush forward and hang on like the other person is the last life-jacket on a sinking boat. There is no doubt now that their feelings are well and truly serious, instead of just hinted at like before.
What makes this even more significant is that it happens on the heels of their little truce from the terrible argument before. The last time they met in that exact place was to have a brutal fight. So it's a visual reversal of the nasty mood of before. And if their feelings can come swinging back to the other end of the scale after having been so negative, how much stronger they had to be!
Also, it's a symbol of the fact that the two are still not able to say what ought to be obvious. For some reason, they just can't. Afraid to argue again and have it all fall apart? Afraid to be rejected? Get fired or have to leave? So they picture it.
And they are both thinking about the same thing. For once, they're not on different pages!
What's interesting is that in the non-dream moment, Maddie stands there holding her chin, and David just stares. Pretending not to be thinking about what they were just thinking about. And even then, they just...walk away!
Funny how it eventually still takes someone else showing up and disturbing the situation to get them moving toward the truth.

How silly I was when I was little...I didn't know they were fantasizing the kisses. It was only when I watched this episode again, when I was a bit older, that I figured that out. Ee-yow, what an ending! Just their looks alone make this one HOT. Check out Maddie's eyes...they're actually glistening when she looks at David. OMG, that's all can say.

My question for all of you is: Whose fantasy kiss was hotter?
At first I was going to say Maddie, because she doesn't like to admit she even thinks about doing that sort of thing. But I'll have to say David, because he just rushes in and pulls her a bit up off her feet. That's something she can't really do in return, because he's taller--in fact, she has to stand on tiptoes --so it's almost an unfair reason to say, but still.

This ending is hot hot hot. The way they both go towards each other is like they are so hungry for the other and can't take it anymore. But alas it wasn't real:( Definately one of the hottest kisses. Weren't all their kisses in the series the hottest though? LOL
Just watched this now, gosh! It's really hot! It got me thinking too.. In the Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice, they dream that the other one makes the first move, and here it's the other way around. So now they're closer to not wanting to wait they've come so far to realizing that if anything should happen they might themselves have to take the first step. That makes it even hotter. Sorry if this has already been said somewhere.
