Was watching this last night, and noticed something slightly odd. When David and Maddie go to the cabin in the woods to find Melissa, and they meet up with her lover/neighbour, I hear David say "headboard bouncing", but his lips say something different, possibly 'headboard banging'!
I wonder why this has been changed...is it the same on all versions?

Oh, how odd. I never noticed that before. In any of the versions Ive seen, I'm pretty sure that he says, "headboard bouncing." Too bad, now I'll have to watch this episode tonight. lol Thanks for pointing that out, Mulberry

Yep, you're right. Just checked. At about the 18:45 mark, David says 'banging' (you can read lips) but on the soundtrack you hear 'bouncing.' When they film shows, I think they do the same thing as with movies, which is record two soundtracks, one with the original, as-is version and the other with the more 'racy' things changed, dubbed over or deleted. This allows them to sell it to syndication, where the other networks may have different standards than the channel that first ran it. A classic example of that is the safe-for-tv version of "Lethal Weapon." You know that's got a lot of words they don't want 'tender ears' to hear. So they did the substitution track with instances like Mel Gibson saying, "We're going to catch those funsters." It's safe to say he did not call them 'funsters' in the original. (I'm post #5,000 for the forum! ;D)

I think, also, Caron was SO picky about the writing and, as we well know, LOVED changing tiny details at the last minute. Writers! Sheesh!
