And also when Maddie runs the rose along her chin and then very seductively down her neck ( extremely provocative don`t you think ) That rose along her chin and neck was soooo Cybill! Both Maddie and Cybill are very sensual women so there is a similarity, but I don't see it as being Cybill. Remember Maddie's silk pajamas? Or the kind of clothes she wears to work? Remember the scene in the "Pilot" where Maddie slow dances with David? Remember the way Maddie kisses David on the cheek when she calls him "partner" in one of the episodes from season 2? Remember the scene in "Money Talks, Maddie Walks" where Maddie is getting ready to go out and confront her accountant, and while she's preparing she tilts her head back and slowly pulls a stocking up her leg? Remember Maddie's dance in front of the mirror in "Blonde on Blonde"? Remember the scene where Maddie is drinking champagne/white wine in her bathtub? Those scenes tell you a lot about Maddie. What they tell you is that Maddie likes feeling sensual (whether it's in the presence of other people or when she's alone and it's just for her own private pleasure), and that Maddie knows very well that fabrics (clothing) can be very sensual. And there isn't a more sensual and suggestive prop for a woman than a red rose. I love that whole scene because it's so evident that Maddie is in absolute control of her own desire. She takes pleasure in seeing David see her as a woman. She genuinely likes it that he sees her doing what she does with the rose. And I love the fact that the way the scene is filmed has nothing to do with the dreaded "male gaze." It's not filmed from a man's POV. David does look, but Maddie wants him to look. She does what she does with the rose and observes his reaction (and that's what the camera shows). The scene reminds me of what Barbara Stanwyck does in "Double Indemnity" (she bats the "gaze" back), only Maddie does it in a more subtle, sensual way. Also, I wanted a new animation, but I couldn't think of a good scene to cap, so thanks for the inspiration!

I dont think anything in Moonlighting was ever done out of character...I think GGC was a stick to the script kind of guy.

I think that many laughs, many blushings and many hand holdings moments were not scripted and were left at the end just because they looked good on the screen. You just can't control your actors and delay everybody's work just because you're that kind of guy (even though I know he was). But that's just my opinion.

How do you do those moving avatars treasmus? Love your new one! Do you have to save them on the internet before you upload them? i tried once but it didnt work. Snap Thanks! I upload the animation (avatar) to this site tinypic.com/ and I copy the direct link. Then I go to Profile > Modify Profile and I paste the link into the white box where it says: Avatar URL. Then I change the width and length of the avatar to 100x80 because it looks better that way. Finally, I enter the password where it says: Password (again) at the top of the page, and I hit Modify Profile at the bottom of the page. Hope this is what you were asking about (or did you mean how do I make the animations?), and I hope this helps. I think that many laughs, many blushings and many hand holdings moments were not scripted and were left at the end just because they looked good on the screen. You just can't control your actors and delay everybody's work just because you're that kind of guy (even though I know he was). But that's just my opinion. I'm not really familiar with Bruce Willis' off-screen ticks so if he ever "breaks character", I most likely wouldn't notice. I think perhaps the only example (I can think of right now) of when you can maybe see a bit of Cybill is in "The Lady in the Iron Mask" when Maddie smiles after she kisses David on the cheek (right after she calls him "partner"). I seem to remember Cybill smiling like that a lot in "The Heartbreak Kid", back when you couldn't really call her acting acting, and what you saw in that movie looked like her real smile. The hand-kissing scene in "...Maddie Walks" looks unscripted, but I'm not sure.

I don't know how to explain it. I sometimes detect moments between them that don't seem to be taken out of a script but more of shared off-screen jokes between them. In spite of all I have read, I'm sure they have a great friendship and a unique camaraderie, at least as long as the show aired.
