On a scale from 1-10, what do you give "Symphony in Knocked Flat"?

Same for me: 10 is the only possibility to choose.

I give a 9,as well,it's nice, but I don't like very munch the end sence. As a teenager,I must say my option about this episode,I love when they go one date,so perfect, like 2 angels. . And I laught a lot, when David was appologize Maddie, about their date. And she grab him by the tie. Loli! ;D. And the end sence,it's very annoying, I don't like it very munch...poor David,he gets knocked by the other guy.

I say "8" The ending could be more-more-more interesting. I think that the script's end has been written by person his name is "I hate BW". And why the boxing, is better figure skating (on an ice). David and Maddie together on an ice, plus Kabonov, it's fine.
for information: BY THE WAY KABONOV FROM THE WORD "THE KABON" ( IN RUSSIAN "ÊÀÁÀÍ") - WILD PIG OR WILD BOAR.

I say "8" The ending could be more-more-more interesting. I think that the script's end has been written by person his name is "I hate BW". And why the boxing, is better figure skating (on an ice). It was written by Dale Gelineau and Pauline Miller, and unless I miss my guess, that's the only episode they ever did. As for why they chose boxing, at the time the Rocky movies were popular, with the series of boxing challengers, including a Russian, and it's probably more plausible for someone like David (or Maddie, for that matter) to step into a boxing match and look like they 'belong' there. While boxing is certainly not easy to do, if they had used ice skating instead, it might be strange to see either of those detectives just show up at the arena and suddenly look competent at doing all those intricate twists and leaps and things. Either of them could probably just plain skate, but to go up there and convincingly pass for a competition-level ice skater, is perhaps stretching believability. So they went with boxing, which is easier to stage. I think it is just a funny metaphor for how much people will suffer to impress the ones they love. Also, it draws from the crazy comedy movies of the classic era in the 1920s-1940s, where anything could happen. ;D

When I first saw this episode, the boxing scene with Bruce reminded me of the scene with Chaplin boxing and doing everything he could to avoid his competitor! I don't remember the name of this film but the scene is very famous ! And I thought that Bruce was acting the same as Chaplin, perhaps he was inspired by him!? I love this episode, I gave it a 10! I say "8" The ending could be more-more-more interesting. I agree! It started off soooo good, with the Maddie-slip "You could wear..-Hrrm? -He could.." Just for the sake of argument- yeah, right? And the limo-ride is too short, I would have liked them to have a longer fine date... Now it sounds like I'm complaining, but I'm really not! I love Officer Deja and Agent Vu, "Either somebody's lying or the writers just xeroxed the other scene", Maddies run from the "bomb" in the car ;D and so on. They should have ended up going on another fun date, with bowling and beer. Oh, baby.

I love this episode, its worth it just for the beginning of the date, with Maddie looking so stunning and David in a tux (always a good thing!!). "Care for some bubbly?" I also LOVE the line (and the way he says it) where David says that there's a jacuzzi in the back of the limo 'in case we get dirty later on' Wowzer! Mul

I gave it an 8. I like D&M dating, but the boxing scene was not really funny for me.

This was an excelent episode! Scene in the theater, when David called Maddie (and audience was turning their heads), and when he felt down. Also was excelent part when Maddie throws something on David in office and when she took his tie I cannot forget they-are-stealing-our-stolen-car and running because of bomb. Great scene lol

Stunning, wild, wacky, the boxing kinda reminded me some Looney tunes action cartoons where the hero is beaten up so much and still keeps getting more ;D
10.

I like this one a lot. It's one of the zaniest! But I gave it a 7 because the boxing scene wasn't quite as much fun - although I did laugh hard when the Russian punched David up into the air. Maddie's little verbal slip "you could wear - " and David's knowing smile were so cute. I enjoyed D/M all dressed up and going out on a date. Forget the whole this-is-a-bet thing. You could tell by their expressions that they wanted to spend non-work-related time together.
I thought I would crack my side when David almost fell off the balcony, when Maddie ran from the car and when they both fell over in the phone booth. I wish the two writers of this ep had written another because in spite the very end, Symphony was stellar.
