I can`t help myself, but I think the woman in blonde on blonde is very nice. So symphatic. When she tells David to tell Maddie that he loves her, she talks so sweet. I like her irish (I think it`s irish) accent a lot.

That's Donna Dixon(I think) and I loved her in this episode too. That was just a great scene between her and David.

She does sound English or something close to it...why, exactly? She's not from overseas in real life, she's American. I don't think it was said that her character is supposed to be from somewhere else, so why does she sound a little different? That's funny. ;D

Is she always talking like this or do you think she learned it for that role? If yes, great!!

I have her saying "ThereĀ“s a handdryer round the corner" every time I get a text message on my phone... Soothing.

The Joan character is very sweet and sympathetic. That's strange, considering she just framed David for murder that same night. Nice of her to confess, though. Twice! And she does tell Dave the most important advice in his life. It's a very brief role, but played to a T and still one of the most memorable and enjoyable in the show.

You`re right queensgirl, but I have one question!! What was the reason forher to kill that man (as I remember it was her husband, wasn`t it) or better men, as there was another one at the beginning of this episode??

One of the cops says, when he comes into the interrogation room to say that David didn't do it, that Joan's husband "pulled off the armored car robbery for a million-six, then vanished." (This is at 40:29-41:03 of the episode, just about.) When they met up, which is why we see them together again, she guns him down in order to get the whole of the money and not have to share. Now that's really not nice. I'm not sure if she killed her husband so she could be with anyone else. Joan's escapade with another man at the beginning of the episode is shown so we can have a comparison between Tenewich, who is apparently used to having her nasty criminal side (combined with her very odd sweet and genteel aspects as well), and Maddie, who is only just approaching the idea of wavering from the path of being strait-laced and ethical. (I'll say this for Maddie: she never shot anybody. ) Notice what Joan tells David in jail is a big lie, or at least sounds like one--"That man I killed tonight, I would have killed for him." Do what now? Oh jeez, lady... Yeah, she really loved the guy, didn't she. Infidelity and murder, been a tough day for her, huh? Then again, considering her husband had done the robbery, he was no Elliot Ness either, and maybe Joan was afraid if she didn't kill the man first, he'd do that to her, on the same desire to take the money. So there's badness enough to go around. Back to the differences between Joan and Maddie. The two women are opposites: Joan, who is the 'black widow' type, outwardly sweet but inwardly dangerous, and Maddie, who has all this time tried so hard to play it right, being tough and stern on the surface, and who thinks she is ready to be all wild and free, but deep down has quite a different personality, and isn't prepared to be amoral at all. Not to Joan's degree. Maddie is playing around with an image of 'bad'; Joan is the real deal. You'll see this comparison further played out when Joan shows up to the bar and she's wearing all black, and Maddie is in a white jacket and hat. Hello, Wild West imagery! ;D

It's never specified where she's from, so I don't know why she was using an accent, but I also thought the way she talked to David was really sweet.

What was the reason forher to kill that man (as I remember it was her husband, wasn`t it) or better men, as there was another one at the beginning of this episode?? The other guy she killed was her husband's fence. Although I don't buy that for a second, which fence looks like a Latin male model? And why boink him if she just wants to kill him?
