House has just started showing in my country. I missed the first two chapters the other day, but everyone seems to like it! I've read some of the quotes on imdb, and I couldn't stop laughing, even lacking the context! So I'm giving serious consideration to buying the DVDs. On the other hand, I've always liked Hugh Laurie as a comedian, and as a BRITISH comedian. I've read that he has dropped his accent, and acquired a North-Eastern American accent instead. Is that true? I guess Native American speakers will still notice he's faking it, however good he may be...
There's another problem, though. If I buy the House DVDs now I'll get them at the same time as my ML season 3 DVDs. Then I won't have time to watch them all!! I'll have to report sick for work!

my favourites are also McLeod`s daughters and Gilmore girls. I also like 7th heaven (but I certainly know all the episodes by sleep, as I have seen them so often).
Others I like: What`s up Dad grounded for life desperate housewifes
I have so many, that I wouldn`t be ready with writing it until tomorrow!!!

Well you'd think he'd be pretty bad with the accent wouldn't you, but in actual fact the director or producer of House (who is N. American) hired him after hearing him and believing he was genuinely American. He didn't realise he was British (what planet has he been on? Has he not watched Fry and Laurie/Jeeves and Wooster??!! ;D) Anyway, I'd the DVDs, if you're already laughing and you haven't even seen an episode!

Oooh, I forgot to mention Bones. Are you still enjoying it Rose? It's really growing on me now and we've started talking about it in the staff room now that it's started showing in this country cause there are some other teachers who read the Kathy Reichs books. I'm really enjoying it.

I am also see some comedy shows,like:"Maria's Show"(a portuguse comedy,with the original title:"O Programa da Maria"),"Allo Allo",another great show,from the 80's,but a British show,and "Blackadder",another British comedy.
Maria's show it's a 100% pure portuguse comedy show, cracks me up every time...a boy has his home at black and white,a man who is a taxi driver, and has a great passion of his football club,a mexican couple, that speak another languache, and talking about the portuguse televison...at their way ;D

I'm watching the Dancing on Ice final (it's a UK program). I'm a sucker for anything with dancing in. I thought Bonnie was by far the best, and I know she had a background in dancing, she was still by far the best. Thing is, people just vote for the people they like, rather than the best performance. Torvill and Dean doing the Bolero again was amazing!
