I started watching the X-Files last week and BOY this is a good show. Mulder and Scully remind me so much of David and Maddie. Mulder has the same way of speaking, always in jokes. And Scully is, like Maddie, the non-believer. Tho, I'm not sure I would believe in Aliens either Has anyone seen this show?

I remeber watching in 1996(in the same year that was on the air "Cybill" series) Yeah,so mysterious, and very cool. My brother loves X-Files! He never missed any episode. Me? I was a bit young, but I watched with my bro, ehehe! ;D
Also,I have a magazine(date:02/04/2005) and there was an article saying:
"From the U.S.A,it came:"Cybill",with Cybill Shepherd, now, without Bruce Willis"
;D ;D

I watched the X-Files for almost its entire run, and trust me, for some crazy reason I never got the tension that most people saw between them. I didn't see it as relationship-based, the way ML was. It was more plot- and science-based. Always enjoyed the show, just never picked up on these things. (Didn't see much of the last two years, for some reason.)

Just saw the final episode of Season 1. Oooh Deep Throat got murdered  And they closed the X-Files down!!! Trust no one, exactly bluemoongirl The truth is out there haha! Oh btw, Scully the non-believer was wearing a necklace with a cross on it! Now who says she doesn't believe in something. And queensgirl, too bad you didn't see it... Of course, David and Maddie are the king and queen of chemistry! I saw there was something going to happen between Scully and Mulder from the start. hehe Oooh and the episode Ice was HOT! lol Kneading of flesh, Mulder, yum hehe Sakura, you must have been very young when you saw it. I was 9 when I saw a commercial for the show, I almost had nightmares about it, but as usual, when I'm scared of something I have to watch it at least once and most of the time it turns out I like it. On to season 2

My mom and dad said, only watch with my brother. And so I did? No nightmares with me! ;D ;D

On to season 2 Hey Steph! Woohoo! Someone to discuss x files with again. ;D This isn't the forum to do it on...but then again...there isn't an x forum anymore. But it's so fun to relive the excitement of each season through someone whose never seen it before. When the show was red hot there were forums for the noromos and the shippers. Noromos were the fans who didn't see any romantic chemistry between the characters and vehemently did not want them to be together. The shippers were of course the opposite of that. I belonged to the XFR - the X Files Romantics site. We didn't have forums back then but we could chat. It was a major site for fan fiction as well. One of the other members on the ML forum belonged to it as well, and is a wonderful fan fiction writer. I still have disks full of fan fiction. There are definately some wonderful writers out there. The episode Ice was a hugely popular episode because of the 'hot' factor. And the season finale WOW!! Season 2 is the pivotal season for many reasons. If you'd like to talk about the show as it goes along please feel free to pm me. I have to shut my computer off for awhile because a huge storm is overhead.

Well, since this is the "Other shows etc." thread, I guess we can discuss things here And who knows, maybe others will join us. I thought the Pilot was cool too, where they skipped time a bit and Scully found those misquito bites on her back. (and another hot scene following that ) Bluemoongirl, it's nice to have someone to talk with about this show

You're right...this is the 'other' section....so what the heck. Is the show only aired once a day? In the states, it's on two cable channels and the local Fox stations sporatically during the week. I don't think that show will ever go off the air. It's going to be here in a few minutes. It's an ep I've seen a lot, but it never gets old. The conspiracy/mythology episodes are so wonderfully crafted. So of the filler eps are so-so, but I still enjoy them. So did you not know anything about the show before you began watching it?

It's not airing on tv here anymore, I think I thought I saw a commercial not too long ago. Anyways, I downloaded the first season, just to see what it was about since the CSI board said that Scully and Mulder are a lot like Catherine and Grissom (and I'm a G/C shipper). Now I have the second season too I had heard about the show before. I had seen some of the promo's on tv when I was very young and I watched a bit of the movie while I was at my grandmothers 2 months ago. (I say a bit, because I was cooking dinner and my grandmother talked right trough it so I didn't really follow it) I was really scared to watch it at first, but people made me so curious I just had to watch it. (like with the Blair Witch Project, it's just something I had to see eventhough I knew there was a chance I wasn't able to sleep that night. Didn't happen with the X-Files tho) I know a lot of the gueststars from other television shows and that makes it less scary, there even was a scene with someone I knew that was supposed to be scary but actually made me laugh out loud because of the sounds he made Now I love it, I can watch almost anything haha! I'm used to the creepy stuff now. Mulder is a funny guy! I loved the part where they went to look at the spaceships (before they got chased by a helicopter) and Scully wakes up because the back-window of the car breaks, and then Mulder comes: Hey Scully! Wake up! You gotta see this! <- that's a ML moment. And when other agents come to their car asking them to step out, Mulder to Scully: Do you think that if we ignore them they'll go away? <- Another ML moment but anyways, I'm babling again haha! I'll shut up now. Edited: What's the name of the episode that you're gonna watch tonight?

The episode that was just on Sci-Fi today was Paper Hearts - 4th season. It deals with Mulder's sister. Excellent episode, and again one that is very shipper friendly. Even though this show is a sci-fi drama it covers all the bases. It's dramatic, very intelligent, scary, and funny with romantic undertones throughout - at least until season 7 - then it's pretty blatant. But I won't spoil it for you if you don't allready know. I love those funny lines that Mulder says. Scully says them once in a 'blue moon' (ha!) But it's definately a Mulder thing. If you want the 'full effect' of this show, I would definately watch the series in order, and not watch the movie until after season 6. It won't make total sense if you do. But then again, the movie was dumbed down for a general audience - quite dissapointing at the time. There's talk of another script being worked on - hopefully soon. I have so much stuff on this show - boxes and boxes. I was a little more obsessed with this show than ML. Ha! I'm still kicking myself for tossing almost everything I had on ML. But hey, can't carry that stuff around forever. I almost worked on this show once it moved to LA, but that's a whole other story.

You almost worked on it? How did you do that? What kind of work? How do I get work on a tv-show? questions, questions, questions LOL btw, I started watching the second season last night, and I miss Scully a lot. She isn't in it often, but I guess that's because she was pregnant around that time. I hope to see her again soon, cuz I love seeing Mulder and Scully together. Aaaw and Mulder trusts only Scully. That was so sweet that he taped that. And I just had to see Ice again

I like the icons you created - very nice. Yes, I almost worked on the show. Long story...I have a film and tv background. I went to the movie premiere, where I met a girl who I became friends with that later worked on the show. It's all about who you know. At the end of filming for the 6th season, I got in touch with one of the directors. He invited me to the set for an interview. It went really well. And he invited me to stay. I hung around for hours during filming of several scenes from the finale Biogenesis. David and Gillian were there along with their stand ins. I won't go into long details, but I enjoyed my time with them. Since the season was over, the director couldn't promise me anything. I kept in touch with him, but found out later that the original crew had decided to stay on for the following season. Oh well....It would have been 17 hours days anyways. And even though it was the hottest show on tv, I was glad I didn't get the call. It might sound like working on a movie or tv show is the best thing on earth, but after a while it just becomes a job like any other job. I do have some very funny stories about Gillian though - if you'd like to hear them. About season 2...the whole alien abduction/conspiracy mythology which is the backbone of this show was created out of the necessity for Gillian to leave for awhile. Wait until you get to Duane Barry/Ascension and One Breath. You'll be hooked forever on this show. ;D

Oh I saw those today, but don't worry, I was already hooked I'm almost finished with the filmschool I'm attending now. I've been filming on location the last 3 weeks. It was cool! I'd love to have somekind of summer job at an american tv-show (I like those better than the Dutch ones ) I won't have anything to do from the 28th of April till August. Maybe longer if the HKU (somekind of university for art) doesn't accept me... I wish something that happened to you would happen to me. Tho I think I have to move to L.A. first ooh and what kind of stories about Gillian?
