So what did you think of the Duane Barry abduction episodes? We were all on the edge of our collective seats during that season. Whew! Yes, it is tough to get into the industry. If you knew someone you could stay with for several months, you might have a shot at something. "They" usually don't want to offer something to someone whose here on a temporary basis though. But hey, you never know... try this link: www.productionweekly.comI actually have a whole story about myself and Gillian that's pretty funny. I'll pm you.

Thanks for the PM That was really cool! I was on the edge of my seat as well with those episodes! OMG! I felt so sorry for Mulder, he really loves her only he doesn't know it yet (shippy mind taking over hehe ) I really wondered how she would come back. The thing with her in the boat was very symbolic, very pure, I loved how they did that. I'm glad she's back.

Oh I didn't thank you for the link yet. Tho I think I cannot use it because I don't live in America... Anyways. I just saw Irresistible, OMG!! Gillian is such a good actress! The moment at the psychiatrist (or something with psych anyways ) where she opened up about what was bothering her and who she could and couldn't trust etc. that was so well acted! And of course the hug at the end is priceless. Oh how I <3 Mulder *drool*

Oooo....Irresistable is sooo creepy! Donnie Phaster makes me shudder. Gillian is excellent in this ep. Scully is definately pushed to the limit. The therapy session is so raw. She can't quite let herself be vulnerable to Mulder yet. And the hug...at first she tells him she's fine. But she's been through such a tramatic experience. She not's fine, and he knows it. That scene gets me every time. Wonderfully acted.

Ey I'm watching an episode called Colony right now. That guy, that killed someone in the start, isn't that one of the bad guys from the Moonlighting Pilot? I also noticed Richie somewhere in another season, when I was checking if the episodes worked. A lot of things remind me of ML, some guy who got murdered was named Willis, then they where talking about someone named Oppenheim (which was the last name of Cybill's second husband). And then of course the way Mulder and Scully have a conversation.

This thread is so cool, how have I missed it before?! I recently bought myself Season 2 Part 2 DVDs so am making my way through 13 episodes and loving it. (Favourites so far: "Die Hand Die Verletzt" with weird science teacher, "Dod Kalm" the ghost ship/accelerated ageing and "The Calusari" about a possessed young boy).
Which type of episodes are your favourites? I'm less into the alien and spaceship stuff but prefer the supernatural or psychological thriller type ones.
Can anyone help me identify the episode about cockroaches where you actually see one crawl across the screen and it looks very very real?
And finally, as for the chemistry, there is very definitely chemistry there between Mulder & Scully but I think it is a different kind of chemistry to David & Maddie. Less explosive and volatile perhaps? Maybe it is of a less physical nature but more of an intellectual chemistry? Hmmm, I'll ponder that one!! Noone can beat D & M for chemistry but they can come pretty close in some cases.

Hey Babyhayes! Glad you could join our small group. The cockroach ep is called "War of the Coprophages" - 3rd season. Now that ep has a lot URST. I'm more into the mythology/conspiracy episodes. But I love most of the stand alone eps as well. They have a more subtle chemistry - but it's most definately there. The way they look at each other, the deafening silence between them, the way he always guides her with his hand on the small of her back. The way Mulder broods over the loss of Scully...there's so much there hidden just below the surface with them for so many years. It was quite exasperating to say the least. Glad to have you in this thread. Hopefully, we'll pull some more fans into the conversation as well. Adyjdy where are you?

I liked the episode Dod Kalm. I didn't like the other 2 you named. Other episodes I like are of course Ice , The Jersey Devil (simply because of this: Keep that up Mulder, and I'll hurt you like that beastwoman!), Beyond the Sea, Anasazi, The Blessing Way and Paperclip, and probably more. I'm not sure in which catagory I fit LOL. But I'm only at the beginning of season 3 so I wouldn't know which ones I like after watching this season.

I can never say, "Oh, my favorite(s) is..." I have to do it by season or genre with a show like this. There are too many favorites.

ooooh, can I join in?! I used to be a major fan of this show too. Still am I suppose.
I LOVE War of the Coprophages. One of my favourite eps. 'Her name is Bambi?' - lmao!
I'm sure there were quite a few people who were in both XF and ML. The Alien Bounty Hunter being the most obvious, but I'm sure there are more. Oh, there's the guy from Next Stop Murder who plays the guy with the 'twin' in Humbug from Season 2. That's another of my favourite episodes.
Love this thread!!

I have an article on an old magazine from the 90's that talks about the actress who plays in X-Files(Gillian Andreson). The article says that she was recibing strange phone calls.
I am searching of that magazine,to tell more about. Also this article was published when X-Files keep on the air,in Portugal. Me and my brother watching theme. Was so wonderful. Never had nightmares. ^_^

Yeah, and I love the bit where Mulder finds the manager of the hotel under Scully's caravan and thinks he's perving when he's really fixing the plumbing. 'You'd be surprised at how many women find my stature strangely alluring' and Mulder replies 'you'd be surprised at how many men do too' I'm re watching Season 7 at the moment. Love Gem
