I have not actually purchased season 4 and 5. I remember them bitterly and just can not get past them. I want to think that the series (and their relationship) was just where it should've been at the end of season 3).

it was as it should have been, you're so right, moonlightinglover. But I remember that season 4 ended at least with a ray of hope, and as other fellows here on the board reminded me that in S 4 there were some really awesome performances, I thought... well, I could dare to re-watch it (right now, I'm to start with the Sam arc though). I won't face S 5, though. After S 4, there's VM, and basta.

We're all here for you, sandra!! S4 is hard, but has such moments of brilliance--you'll be glad you watched it, I know! Regarding S5, I was actually surprised, when we did the rewatching of those episodes, how many small moments we uncovered together that made me feel like all was not as lost as I had remembered...until the end, of course! When you get to the end of S4, you might try just reading the S5 rewatch threads. Maybe it will inspire you!

Thanks for the support, Jen! I'll surely read the rewatch threads and hope they won't tempt me...

When I was shopping for my Moonlighting DVDs years ago on Ebay, I noticed that some came with episode-guide inserts and some didn't. I think maybe early printings (of each season on DVD) came with the insert, and later on they stopped including it in order to cut corners and save money. I made sure when I acquired all 5 seasons that I got 'em all with all the episode guides.
